Figure he is in for some long nights. Bush would love to get WMD info out of him. Would make the 2004 elections much easier.

TeenGodFather 12-14-2003 04:52 PM

I wonder if Haag is in any of Bush's plans.
...if not, what is he going to charge Saddam with.. and how?

KRL 12-14-2003 05:25 PM

They don't use any type of harsh physical torture on high profile leadership. Sleep deprivation, environmental comfort levels, and food temptation are the physical tools that work best with guys like Saddam.

Psychological interrogation techniques work wonders because control freaks like Saddam like to feel a false sense of power which they will give him. He'll be singing like a birdie and supposedley already is.

He already proved he has no balls. If he wasn't a pussy he would have put the gun to his head and said adios.

He wasn't very smart either. When you think they offered him 48 hours to leave at one point, with his family safe and intact, and the ability to access his offshore money. Dumb fuck. Greed always gets the best of people.

davecummings 12-14-2003 06:31 PM

I hope we quickly glean all kinds of info from him, preferably using psychological methods ---if we can't easily extract it, allow Iraqui methods/"experts" to have a shot at him; then, let the jailhouse "somehow" have a moment of distraction while locals enter and behead the tyrant, thus letting us avert a long and problem-laden trial, one that his remaining thugs might try to influence by using terror against all sorts of people/targets leading up to and during the actual trial.

He's a sub-human:-(

I'm waiting for the ACLU to step in and start complaining that he's not "being treated well". :barfon:

mojobill 12-14-2003 06:41 PM

I'm betting there are a bunch of Governments **COUGH - FRANCE ** waiting in anticipation for Ole Sadam to spill the beans on their arms deals of late....

Buff 12-14-2003 06:43 PM

If they really want to torture him, they could force him to work for Shaw Internet -- Greg says he's gonna write a book about the horrors he lives through!

:nyanya: :nyanya:

j/k Brad. Looking forward to seeing you in Vegas, man.

Well the Howard Dean Supporters are already doing that:

http://blog.deanforamerica.com/archives/002682.html
"Sigh. All I can think about is the effect of Saddam's capture on the Dean campaign! ... Somebody cheer me up, please!"

http://blog.deanforamerica.com/archives/002683.html
"It is hard to believe this adminstration about Saddam when they are prone to lying about Thanksgiving TURKEYS...and what was that about BA pilots see Airforce One which was also a lie."

And, my favorite:
http://blog.deanforamerica.com/archives/002684.html
"I think it is shameful that the ACLU has not commented on the obvious mistreatment Hussein has suffered at the hands of the American military."

Rolo 12-14-2003 08:18 PM

There will be no trial outside Iraq, they need him in Iraq so they can do the character killing infront of the Iraqi people.

Saddam like all other politicians/dictators will defend himself by saying that he did what was necessary, and that those who hold him prisoner are nothing more but bandits. If they let him speak to the court/Iraqi people, then he will never say he was wrong and he regret what he has done, he will instead try and do a character killing on those who hold him prisoner.

And the ironic thing will be that the more evidence there will be in a court against Saddam... the more will some arabs (and maybe french too) think that its another plot from the USA.

I really must be a teen? What the hell is that supposed to mean?
Sorry if that you feel the urge to correct my typing, asshat.

Ever occured to you that the typing of that particular word might not really affect my question, since your dumb-ass obviously understood what I ment probably everyone else will too.

...for what it's worth it's Haag in my language, and I really didn't feel like trying to find the correct english word for it.

What information are they trying to get out of Saddam? WMD - now thats' going to be tough, since there are none. People in that part of the world even pray with lies. Well if there's something to be learnt about deals with France, Germany and possibly Russia, how is it that the USA government (with all it's technology, power, spying and secrets) was not able to see those deals as they took place?

I don't think there's anything at all to be learnt from Saddam, but I suppose he'll keep on that there is, just to save his own skin.

Plus I don't think it's ever right to kill a human being, will they kill Saddam? What will that prove to anyone?

They've complained about the treatment of the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay - last I checked, they weren't American Citizens either. :nyanya:

The Red Cross came out today and said they should be allowed to visit Saddam on a daily basis.

Go figure.

They really should just string him up in the middle of Baghdad, hand out free pliers and scissors to everyone and let the people walk by one by one and take a small piece of him as a souvenier until there's nothing left.

Street Justice!

Come on think for a second. They want to know all the places he's stashed tens of billions of dollars he looted.

Knowing his style of hiding everything and anything, he's probably got piles of money, diamonds, and gold literally buried all over Iraq on top of all the money stashed offshore in dummy corporations.

Then they could sell his parts on ebay.

I'd bid on his middle finger. :groucho:

Sure, and how is finding that (if it exists) going to help anyone? USA will take it and 'use it to help rebuild Iraq' ? Come on..

Do unto others as they do unto you:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/20...rets-usat_x.htm

An Iraqi soldier, who according to the facility's records witnessed the beatings, said interrogators regularly used pliers to remove men's teeth, electric prods to shock men's genitals and drills to cut holes in their ankles.

In one instance, the soldier recalled, he witnessed a Kuwaiti soldier, who had been captured during the 1991 Persian Gulf War, being forced to sit on a broken Pepsi bottle. The man was removed from the bottle only after it filled up with his blood, the soldier said. He said the man later died.

"I have seen interrogators break the heads of men with baseball bats, pour salt into wounds and rape wives in front of their husbands," said former Iraqi soldier Ali Iyad Kareen, 41.
