I think you forgot, USC has to lose and LSU has 2 more games.

If LSU wins out, their strength of schedule will put them over USC -- they just beat #15, next game is against Arkansas who will be ranked for next week, and the last game will be against Florida, Tennessee, or Georgia, all in the top 13, and 2 in the top 10.
USC has played 1 ok team all year, and that team (washington state) just lost its second game today and sucks ass, and USC's other loss is to a shitty California team.
LSU's only loss is to the team which is now #13 and climbing. No comparison. LSU has beaten Georgia (now #6) and Ole Miss (#15).
Ohio State proved that the Big 10 is overrated in a big way and the PAC 10 will find out the same thing.
Plus, LSU - Oklahoma would be a real game, whereas USC - Oklahoma would be a massacre.
