Back a few years ago, when my youngest was in kindergarten, they had a Thanksgiving party in the kindergarten class. All the parents came to the school. After the prerequisute checking all the projects that the kids had done and doing the appropriate Ohing and Ahing, the parents sat in the various chairs available and the kids sat in a circle on the floor.

The kids then proceeded to sing a couple of songs that they had prepared for the event. After the songs, they did a little skit that they had prepared about the first Thankgiving, then the teacher did a little speil about Thanksgiving and how we all have so much to be thankful for. She then went around the circle and asked each kid what they were thankful for. Most of the kids did the normal, "I'm thankful for my family", "I'm thankful for my friends", "I'm thankful for our food each day", "I'm thankful for my dog"... This went on and on for a bit until they reached my daughter. She stood up proudly and proclaimed "I'm thankful for money".

I don't think I have ever been so proud. :cryin:

My oldest daughter on the other hand... We went on a girlscout trip to the local courthouse. We did a tour and then all sat in the courtroom and a judge (local Judge, Judge Hannah.. Little plaque on his desk said "The Honorable Judge Hannah") did a spiel about what justice was, why there were judges etc. After he was done he asked if there were any questions. My beautiful brat raises her hand and he says, "yes, what is your question?" and she replied, "Why does the plaque on your desk say The Horrible Judge Hannah"....

Luckily, I have never had occasion to be in front of "The Horrible Judge Hannah" because I am sure he remembers the Dad who put his hand over his daughter's mouth that night....

(True stories both)

ahahahahahahaha

Does she need a godfather? ;-)))

One back at you ....

Having moved to my new house on the 17th green/ 18th tee of the Country Club -
Just to the right of the lone tree on the right actually ;) -

My children looked forwarded to handing out drinks and watermelon to the usual foursome of myself, Stripclubguru, Redlion , Anthony as our game reached the 18th tee.

so.....

The foursome reached the 18th Tee.

The match was close.

It was all on the next hole. The money was big.

The kids handed drinks out and , having been schooled in golf ettiquette, stood quietly as I moved into the teeing area....

I took my practise swing.

Satisfied , I addressed the ball for real.

The polite silence was broken by my son Jack's dissappointed whisper to his sister:
"Hmm , Dad's not very good at this game. He's already missed it once."

I lost the hole.

;-)))
