I have 1 big tour page and it's 151303 bytes, is that decent or too heavy?

I checked with one of those online web utility things and this is the results of how fast my page loads in different speeds. Please let me know if this is too heavy or if you think this is ok. I dont have a slow modem that I can check it with. Thanks :)

14.4Kbps 86.06 seconds
28.8Kbps 44.03 seconds
56Kbps 23.39 seconds
ISDN (128Kbps) 11.46 seconds
T1 (1.44 Mbps) 2.84 seconds

Too slow of a load....

You don't want to give them 23 seconds to click off.....

But, it depends on what the page looks like....

If you have some good text right in the surfers face while the graphics load, it can work..... But if there is nothing there to see for the entire time, then you are more likely to lose the interest.....

just imo of course.......

many graphical tours are 120+k

the newer scrolling tour pages can be much more than that if itsd a bunch of thumbs.

surfers are willing to let things load if its a bunch of thumbs like http://www.milfhunter.com/main.htm?id= (just an example)

but if its too slow they wont.

of course surfers really dont like waiting for a graphical cookie cutter type site to load those get closed immediately, but surfers are aware of net congestion and load times so if it gets their interest theyll let it load.

depends what the page looks like ultimately.

Base in the stats info, I think it's ok, but let's see the page and we can give you better answers.

yeah, it's 1 large pic thats 19k with tons of smaller thumbs all around 4k.

and I'd rather not give the url here, I finally have something that I think will sell :bjump:
