Cox Cable. Supposed to be 1.5Mbs, but I don't want to take the test and destroy that fantasy.

I have satellite and it sucks but it's better then dial-up. When the days are clear like they are now I haul ass but for all those months during the rainy season it's hit or miss. There are days when I actual disconnect and use dial-up. I've had DSL and Cable- I liked cable the best. Dianna |

Since you are webmasters...
Is anyone getting higher than 256kbps upload on a standard residential cable/DSL connection? Also, have any of you been charged extra for going over an imposed cap on downloads? I haven't had this experience, but have been hearing stories of this. Supposedly the cap is in the finest of print. |
I have to make this post just so my name is the last poster on like the latest 10 threads (closest thing I will get to fame) :)
Anyway, my dsl sucks... I have 128k up nad 1.5 down.... Have that because I wanted the static IPs, tried to upgrade to a 384 up when it became available (I was one of the first on DSL around here) but they decided that they would have to take me offline for as much as two weeks... Cant' do that because I have sites on my home server (Navy alumni site is hosted there alongside my various experiments) Thinking about going with cable but they want an outrageous price for a static ip..... Hoping Everest gets its ass into my area real quick...everywhere they have come in around here, Time Warner has cut the price on cable drastically to try to retain market share.... |
ask gonzo.. he has my ip
