Didn't like it as much as I thought I would.

I've been meaning to watch it, but haven't gotten around to finding one of the rebroadcast times. I have been watching Carnivale, though ... just can't make the transition between the two shows.

Was so dry I can't believe I sat through a whole episode, and as a whole I generally find James Carville entertaining, he's not bad on there but show just seems to drag and I find myself channel surfer more often than paying attention to it. Now Carnivale on the other hand, this show is freaky, not sure where this is going at all and since Clea Duvall is definetly on my not throw out of bed for eating crackers list I gotta watch.

DING! my sentiments EXACTLY, Toolz! She's a cute brunette even if they do have her in frumpy 30's clothes! The show is very nebulous at the moment, but good programming nonetheless!

She seems very typecast, always seems to be dressed raggedly in any movie she's in like Identity. Unfortunately rumor has it she's either bi or girl only depending on where you read it, here's praying for the former ;)

Dumb question - which one is she? :(

I tried to watch it, but I found my paint drying on the wall to be much more interesting.

Ah, OK - I wasn't that impressed by her. :( Adrienne Barbeau though looks GREAT for her age! :okthumb:

I enjoy the show - I hate shows that are predictable - Carnivale certainly isn't. :)

Toolz 10-01-2003 02:08 PM

Peaches, I HOPE yours and my taste in women differs slightly ;)

I agree with you Colin, it was not nearly what I thought it would be.

And I LOVE Carnivale, even tho I can't figure out where it's going just yet -

I agree Peaches... I think that's what sucked me in. Hub put on the 1st episode and I said "no way! not another must-see show on HBO!" and TRIED walking away... I drifted back over... lingered awhile... within a few minutes I was on the couch and engrossed - lol

It's just NOT predictable in any way shape or form. Me likes! :yowsa:

I made it thru half an episode of K-street...couldn't hang with it.

I'm giving Carnivale a shot. Jury is still out on that one. I've learned with things like The Wire and Six Feet Under that sometimes it takes HBO shows a few episodes to get everything set up.

The Wire is one of my favorites!

Sunday nights at 9 (then at 12 on HBOW) and probably another couple of days during the week - but that's the first run. :)
