Dear Islam:
It's been awhile, but I see the game remains the same: Iraq, Indonesia, India, and, of course, Israel. And that's only the places starting with I! I don't know what to make of that pattern, but I will advise staying out of Indiana. I just wanted to let you know how I've been uncomfortably numb for most of the day. I gave an acquaintance a lift to the bus station this sunny morning, and she confided in me that we were attacked because Bush was in the White House. I was speechless. I can only wonder how many others across the world buy into that. However, I was reminded that Western Civilization blenches the moment it starts treating you like an adult. The moral relativism excuse train pulls into more stations than usual just to make sure your fragile, little self-image is not tarnished. I guess everyday people just find it too incredible that there really are a bunch of international thugs and malcontents on the loose trying to turn back the clock. I'm going to have to get back to work but just wanted to leave you with one more thought. As far as I can tell, you are the spiritual equivalent of a petulant special education student, and without the equivalent of Reformation you will always be thus. Drop me a line when you start getting your act together. Buff |

Well Arafat should be assassinated shortly if that makes you feel any better.

But isn't he a nobel peace prize owner and a legitimate democratically elected leader? :hic:
btw - That "talk" is about deporting him rather than eliminating the annoyance. As a matter of fact the talk is about "creating the circumstances needed for the removal of this person who is considered an obstacle for peace". Now... What happend if instead of Arafat he was called Saddam? Or Bin laden? How many deliberations do you think lets say the US instead of Israel would have before using a 7 TON bomb eliminating the guy, his aids and everyone in a 50miles diameter? :salute: |

While there you should pick up a history book and take a look at what was occurring within Islam around the same exact time Xtians were killing off pagan Europe under the guise of redemption via the second hand words and blood of a dead Jew. Then come back and tell me about reformation. So now, what was it about your post that dazzled me and led me to believe it was plagiarism? I believe the definition of plagiarism is "taking someone's words or ideas as if they were your own". So yes Jethro, couching the same tired hillbilly rhetoric in pretty pretty prose and pawning it off as your own is indeed plagiarism. And I dont know what is more tragic. Or maybe he just shows himself to be an unispired hypocrite. Either way, it's not the ad hominems which concern me -- I know how superior I am to the lower life forms; rather, it's Labret's misunderstanding of the world we all share which encourages me to continue my fight against public "education" with even more ferocity. It's a common leftist ploy to try to distinguish the so-called radical elements of Islam from the so-called mainstream of the "Religion of Peace." It's only a fringe group of psychos, you see, who want to impose the Sharia on the "free world." The average Muslim has a heart filled with love for his fellow man. Which explains the dancing and cheering in the streets of Syria, Egypt, and the territory erroneously referred to as Palestine when the towers fell. It also explains why Muslims are at war with the Hindus, the Buddhists, the Confuciusists (my term), the Christians, the Jews, the Atheists, and any other ist or ism which doesn't drop to its knees and face Mecca five times per day. Or not. And, of course, the leftists also love to explain to us that Islam was the shining beacon of light during the dark ages -- something which is only half true, which anyone who has "pick[ed] up a history book" about Islam ought to know. Having a blood-lusty pedophile who admitted to being inspired in part by Satan, and his followers, run around the remnants of the former Roman Empire converting people to Islam under the threat of death and assimilating into their warrior culture some mathematics and science, very little of which they developed on their own, does sound like the leftist ideal. See the former Soviet Union for evidence. But being a misinformed and deliberately mendacious jerkoff isn't belligerent enough for Lebrat. No, his next post really iced the cake, to borrow an analogy of his.... |

A guy who doesn't know that "a lot" is two words (think: public "school") proclaims that television is my professor -- that I am one of the herded government baaa baaas who reacts with jerked knee in favor of that which Daddy Washington sets before me as my marching orders. This should be patently hysterical to those of you who have read anything I've ever posted here, but it should also be patently discouraging to those of you who have read anything that I've ever posted here: reading comprehension is a thing of the past. So, yes, that's pretty ignorant of Labret; but the obvious hatred he has for his fellow man, especially his fellow Americans and their way of life, explains why he approves of Islam's attempt to destroy our culture. I'm sure he'd prefer to stone women who were raped than prosecute rapists, but Western Civilization did emerge from the dark ages. Well, I'm not saying Labret is a lying, idiotic, leftist, douchebag faggot-- I'm just saying that tying me into his anti-consumerism drivel was a serious non sequitur, and also that he might not be a faggot. |

Further, there are many stupid idiots running around this world that are the products of private education. The purpose of education is to teach you how to learn. Those that participate in their education, rather publically funded or privately funded end up with the ability to gather facts and form opinions. Those that do not participate in their education and merely go through the process end up with a bunch of disconnected information that was fed to them by teachers with their own personal agendas. You can go back to your Labret bashing now. |

But you're just having knee-jerk reactions, because I called out Islam. And do me a favor: show me non-militant Islam. Yeah, you're a moron. |

So I am guessing that was your way of dodging pointing out where I am left leaning lover of militant Islam? Anywho... Quote:
Ill try and make this one simple for you as well. Going back to my initial post regarding the generalization of an entire faith for the actions of a particular denomination. I could easily sit here and list off passage after passage from the Torah proving my point that Judaism is rife with images of militant Judaism and anyone who considers the Torah to be the true and inspired word of God must also believe in order to spead the word of Elohim, sometimes it requires genocide. But that would be absurd would it not? For every "Muslim" terrorist group, I could probably name a Christian terrorist group. Should I lump all Xtians in with them? I find it hard to believe that someone as brilliant as yourself would actually sit there and believe that of a faith of a billion plus people, they all want to destroy America. I am no expert on various branches and denominations within Islam, just as there are literally thousands of branches of Judaism and Christianity, but I feel pretty safe in saying that there are no Sufi terrorist groups. Here, I did the hard part for you http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navc...fi+terrorist%22 Quote:

http://www.gc.cuny.edu/studies/images/muslim_samp_1.gif :yowsa: http://www.gc.cuny.edu/studies/aris_part_two.htm The ARIS 2001 total in Table 1, which shows 1,104,000 Muslim adults, is smaller than the figures in current circulation. Yet it is twice the number reported in the NSRI survey in 1990. Allowing for a sampling error of +/-0.5 percent, the ARIS 2001 figure maybe adjusted upwards to its maximum range of 1.0 percent of all 208 million American adults (see Table 1). With such an adjustment, the total national figure for US Muslims is 2.2 million, giving a total national population (including children) of just under 3 million. By comparison, the CUNY National Survey of Religious Identification 1990 found that 0.3 percent of respondents adhered to Islam. ....................................... The geographical distribution reported in Table 1 is in accordance with expected patterns of residence. Muslim Americans tend to be heavily concentrated in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit and Texas http://www.ajc.org/InTheMedia/RelatedArtic...les.asp?did=372 The Muslim Population Riddle August 30, 2001 by Eric Boehlert Salon.com How many Muslims are there in America? The answer to that seemingly straightforward question is proving difficult to answer. And following the events of Sept. 11, attempts to estimate figures have produced palpable friction between Jewish and Muslim advocacy groups, each touting its own population surveys and methodologies, and turning a typically scholarly pursuit into a politically charged one. The results, says Dave Roozen, director of the Hartford Seminary Institute for Religion Research, is an unprecedented battle between faith groups openly questioning the size of communities. ...................................... Last spring a Muslim-sponsored study, "The Mosque in America: A National Portrait," claimed there were between 6 and 7 million Muslims in America. The report, although part of a larger study of American congregations called "Faith Communities Today" coordinated by Hartford Seminary, was sponsored by the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Ministry of Imam W. Deen Mohammed, who leads the largest African-American Muslim organizations, and the Islamic Circle of North America. The study's sometimes startling findings, that the number of Muslims associated with mosques had increased 300 percent since 1994, certainly bolstered the notion that Islam was among the country's fastest-growing religions. But it also raised eyebrows, particularly within America's Jewish community, which numbers roughly 6 million. As the Baltimore Jewish Times reported last spring, "Jewish leaders worry that this Muslim population surge will generate political influence that could skew U.S. Mideast policy." In fact, "The Mosque in America" report came just months after Arab and Muslim groups weighed in with their first ever presidential election endorsement, signaling a new political emergence for the group as a sought-after voting block. (The groups endorsed Republican George W. Bush.) Sorry, couldn't resist............... Carry on.................... :agrin: |

There are militant members of Islam in France, in England, and in the United States.
That does NOT mean that all of those who practice that faith subscribe to the violent teachings of the funamentalists, any more than the actions of the "Christian" fundamentalists who kill abortion doctors can be used to charactrerize the beliefs of all Christians. |

Now wait just a durn second there...............
I did not say, or imply that the only non-militant muslims are in the U.S.... and even the most unreasonable person would have to admit that if even the majority of the estimated 1 billion muslims in the world could be considered militant, then we would be in a lot bigger trouble then we are. The truth is that a small population of Muslims want to force Isalam down the rest of the world's throats, just as a small population of Christians want to force Christianity down the world's throat. The vast majority of the world's population are content to believe what they choose to believe and feel that they will have the last laugh in heaven. In the South Park movie, everybody dying was going to hell because they had the wrong religion. When someone asked, "well what was the right one", they were informed that it was the Mormons...... |

Buff, I'm not going to bite and play a numbers game with you.
Yes, there is a very real threat from Islamic fundamentalists. I don't think that all subscribe to that brand of Islam. You take the simple-minded approach. Not suprising, actually; - it is easier as it deesn't require anything complex, like thought. There are a lot of people who share your approach today - some of them because they are incapable of thought, some of them because it fits very well into whatever particular agenda they are trying to push forward. The biggest problem I have is that putting something as simple-minded as your point of view into action as policy is the wet dream of the Islamic fundamentalists. Folks like you want us to become the most effective recruiter they have. |
