There's a New George Bush in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A Baghdad mother and father, to show their thanks to President Bush (news - web sites) for the overthrow of Saddam Hussein (news - web sites), have named their son after the American leader.

Had the couple had twin boys, they say, the would have named them George Bush and Tony Blair (news - web sites).

The new George Bush — probably the only one in Baghdad — was born six weeks ago to Nadia Jergis Mohammed, 34, and her husband Abdul Kader Faris, 41.

I think that's a bit ridiculous.

I dunno, I named my oldest son after the lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers....

I had some friends in the 60s who gave their son the middle name of Ooops. They changed it before he entered kindergarten, by which time dad had gone from an, uh, independent phramaceutical/herb salesman to broker for A. G. Edwards.

that sounds like an idea so horrible it can't possibly be true. why not just name him "fuck Arabs" or "Islam sucks" and save the kid some real grief growing up?

Poor kid.. he is going to get picked on something fierce in school. I can see it about twenty years from now.. Iraqi citizen named "George Bush" attacks US Embassy in Iraq today..

Probably de whole story is fake to make us believe that there is at least one person in Iraq that likes president Bush.
