Is this thing Stupid or a Smart move?

I mean the people elected Gray...

shouldnt they have to live with what they voted for for his term

or is this like a Do Over when we were kids?

Could this happen in any other state? or is this the only state where a recall is written into the state constitution or laws

The people also decided long ago that they should have the right to recall the governor. Grey Dufus could have been recalled or he could have been arrested...better to recall him.

And, no, it can only happen in states where the state constitution provides for it.

I believe I heard on one of the news stations that there is 7 states that allow recalls to happen, but Ca. is the one one that has ever used this law...

I personally think that widespread recall power, would immobilize politics in this country... However, Grey Davis is about the dumbest politican I've ever seen, so more power to Ca. for getting rid of him...

On another board it was pointed out that with all the candidates, someone with well below the majority vote could win. :headwall:

If the people are smart, they'll keep having one recall after another so that no politician can get any boondoggles passed or spend any of the taxpayers' money -- eventually, the state's economy will improve as it's socialist government isn't allowed to operate (stealing money and crushing business under regulations).
