in 2002 the number of USA based millionaires dropped by 100,000

All Opranoids were affected by that news
Less income to be invested, spend and otherwise put to use

But I also go by the fact that EVERYONE IS A MILLIONAIRE!!!

If Joe Factory Worker makes 20K a year for his 50 years at the factory .... he is a millionaire, just took him 50 years to do it

If Joe Research Worker earns 50K a year for 20 years he is a millionaire

If Johnny Joe On Line Porn Producers earns 250K per year it takes him 4 years to become a millionaire (for the first time)

We (almost) all end up millionaires
Just depends on how long it takes you to earn that first million and what you do with it to earn more

Most Opranoids are smarter than that. That's 100,000 people who probably had the bulk of their wealth invested in the stock market.

Diversity is the key.

Real estate for instance has done fine during the dot bomb years. In fact, lots of bargains to be had as former dotcom employees over extended themselves and have to cash out expensive houses. And it's amazing how many investment properties are being sold at auction because people cant pay the property tax.

It didn't stop me from working on my fifth million.......

(already gave up on the first four..)

Although if I use Vick's version which is someone who has earned a million.. Then I might be real close or have just gone over....

been working since I was 12.... 47 now, so that is 35 years that I put under my belt... gonna have to get the calculator thingie...

But, I have always considered a millionaire someone that actually has a net worth of a million or more, or even take it to someone who makes a million or more in a year...

Which in that case I was nowhere near being really affected.... Except by trickle down... Salary hasn't gone up in a while, that sort of thing....

damn... that was depressing...

:(

If Joe Blow works 20 years at 50K he has:

$1,000,000

Minus

$300,000 taxes

$720,000 Bills (3k a month for poor joe blow).

Joe Blow is broke :D
