Ok, imagine you have to drive your car in Britain, and you’re less than enthusiastic about it, since you only recently got your drivers license.
And then you see this: http://www.trev.jenkins.btinternet.co.uk/bout1.gif You didn’t see anything like this in your driving lessons. And a bit further, you stumble across this situation http://www.trev.jenkins.btinternet.co.uk/bout2.gif The magic roundabout ! Birds eye view.... http://www.trev.jenkins.btinternet.co.uk/bout3.gif Aparantly they have 3 or 4 of these over here.... This ones in Swindon, between London and Cardif. In the perifiral roundabouts you turn clockwise, in the centre you turn counterclockwise. As you can see, the trafic problem is essentially solved by scaring people into taking alternative routes. |
Man, that is a cool piece of road work, I will have to go seek it out next time I am in England... nothing like driving on the wrong side of the road, sitting on the wrong side of the car, going into a roundabout to end all roundabouts...
Anyone want to play bumpercars? :-) Alex |
Awesome. I'm moving nearby just to get in on that. I'm bringing my sign.
