ummmm.... why don't you just get YOUR OWN sites ranked highly in the engines then?

Vick 04-24-2003 03:37 PM

Monk - that is something I have always wondered?

When someone can produce those kinds of results wouldn't they make more revenue for themselves with those top listing than by working for someone else - unless they can get someone to pay more than they can earn from those listing??????

Which might make those listings a losing proposition for whomever bought them (or not depending on the cross marketing and so on)

Kind of strange

What if that person could accomplish getting insurance with his pre-existing. Keep his own sites in his free time and also do his employers sites for search terms that do not compete with his own niche.

That is still crap.

Any time you spend working on somebody else's sites is time you are not spending on your own shit.

If you run out of terms in your own niches... move on to some other niches.

I would think that top SE spots for yourself should pay for any medical expense's/insurance you require.

Monk 04-24-2003 08:00 PM

ahhh... getting insurance with the pre-existing thing.... glazed over that.

Depends on what your ailment is and possbile costs... but if you can get top listings in SE's there is mucho bucks to be made on your own to cover medical expenses.

lol wish i would have seen this sooner would have told you not to mention anything about offering your SEO services.

Been there done that got the shit for it.

My suggestion to you is pick up one or two clients that have a buttload of domains, setup small sites for them on the side and continue to build your own as you go.

That is what I do. I too have no health insurance and I have crohns disease, currently not taking any of the 25 pills im supposed to be taking daily because its just too damn expensive to go buy them. Oh well as soon as im doine paying off everything i owe i can worry about that "small stuff" again i guess.

GL to you, feel free to contact me if you are looking for more info or just to bounce ideas around Lou@Loun.net

aren't you the dude who bragged about how much money you make for doing nothing?

i hear ya, health care is expensive ... but make a few more $2k per month sites and you should be able to afford your medication ... after all, there's no work involved in making 2k a month, is there?

how much does your medication cost?

Loun 04-25-2003 01:40 AM

my meds are 400$ a month and I actually end up at the point where i should be hospitalized, like twice a month when im bad, usually staying 2-3 days until they can get the blockage to resolve. I have gotten good at just not eating, and I have gotten really good at dealing with pain.

Although I ended up at hte hospital 2 weeks ago but left AMA (against medical advice) like I usually do :(

As far as the next 2k a month im working on that right now actually.
As asides, my flareups are very much stress induced so dont bug me! And secondly I end up lacking motivation due to a bunch of vitamin deficiencies associated with it, so I have been getting elss done every day lately. but im getting there. My entire todo list got done today :)

Also as far as meds go... the remikade (remicade)sp infusions i was getting were 8k each... but that was back when i had insurance thank goodness i stopped those too.

hehe while i at it... lemme do some math 2x8k for remikade last year 12x400 for meds last year 8x~4k hospitalizations = 52,800 in medical bills ROFL thats pretty bad

:inlove:

why is your stress my problem?

its up to you how stress effects you, not others.

spend your energy helping yourself instead of seeking sympathy.

accepting that is your first step to wellness.

i was being sarcastic with the dont ug me thing. I dont take you that serious nor do i take anyone else that serious that I would allow them to get under my skin enough to stress me into being sick. This is what allows me to deal with / converse with such a diverse group of people as well as a diverse group of egos on a daily basis.

"spend your energy helping yourself instead of seeking sympathy."

I have yet to look for sympathy at any point in my life. My life is what i make of it. You brought up a couple points in your post and i reponded to them. You asked how much my medical bills were I told you. (looking for sympathy? nope..) You took another jab at the fact that i setup 1k revenue streams and you still havent seem to have gotten over that... (sympathy? nope)

Im going to let my last post stand but will add this followup post stating that I really dont know if I took your last post as it was meant by you.

If I took it to be more of an attack than it was meant to be then im sorry. Sometimes its very difficult to tell here, and I know I have an issue with taking what I consider to be shit from people :)

Anyhow I too will be waiting in that class. I need to wind down so i can sleep.
