SW of city

Hmmm.... do you think they'll stop for Duty Free cigarettes and aftershave?

I hope it's true and that the Iraqi's decided against using WMD's. Word yesterday was that we could hear them talking on their radios about using chemicals.

according to the Iraqi information minister right now, the British, American, Australian and other forces are "losers" and they are "now deciding how to finish them off"

according to Iraq, coalition forces are doomed. :(

I still say we need a 'finger' smiley...

Let's see him try and catch a flight out of town.

Key phrase was: "in vicinity of"

BBC Reporter Andrew Gilligan @ 1513GMT

"Within the last 90 minutes I've been at the airport. There is simply no truth in the claims that American troops are surrounding it.

We could drive up to it quite easily. The airport is under full Iraqi control.

There is normal civilian traffic on the road to the airport and the soldiers defending it looked pretty relaxed.

They certainly weren't in defensive positions. They were standing around casually on the side of the road."
