Whatever it is IBill, CCbill, Epoch, Jettis or another processor, then I really do not think our problems are with the processors... The real problem is that we are still sending 90% of our memberships to either VISA or MC. These two are the once making all the rule changes, issuing fines out of the blue, and keeping paysite owners up at night...

If processors just would start to look at other billing options, then within 6-12 months we could see VISA & MC transactions cut down to 50% or less of the total transactions, and it will be because of MORE transactions... not because of VISA&MC turning off the adult processors.

We did some testing with 2 local processors in Germany and in the UK, using their own national prefered billing options and price models... Our income from these 2 countries after 3 months were almost 200% better then sending them to one of the current big processors... and the best part not a singel VISA or MC transaction!

If one these big processor do not soon start to work on getting MORE billing options into their systems, then I really think that 1 year from now, someone new will have entered the scene and taken the place as the main processor for alot of paysites...

Local billing options do already excist in most of the countries buying adult subscriptions... so what is holding the big processors back?

I think its a case of the international processors who have these options aren't stupid enough to give them to a usa based billing company for their profit ... licensing and exclusive deals with banks/communications companies etc prevent usa based companies from breaking in I think ...

great post rolo ...

Within a matter of days, CCBill is going to roll out a dialer option. If you are a CCBill customer, expect an announcement about it shortly

FYI, plans are also in the works for a '900' option as well.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to email me

I'd love to see more good euro options. Current eurodebit solution is pretty pathetic.

I agree Hooper - the solution from eurodebit are not even close to what is possible with the right setup. I think most of their pages are badly translated, and lacking true local billing options...

There are already some good euro billing solutions for paysites, however they are usual local solutions, which means that international or US paysites have a hard time finding them, and then setting up. Thats why I think it would be great/ideal if the current big processors would invest some time/money into this - if done correct, then it will pay off big time, in both income and less fraud!

These are just some of the local billing options which are used at local paysites today (only going to do 3 countries, or the list will get very long):

UK: Switch (debit card), Solo (debit card), Delta (debit card), SMS, Dialer, PayBox
Germany : Lastschrift (online check), Dialer/900, SMS, Rechnung/Giro (invoice), PayBox
Denmark: Dankort (debit card), SMS, Dialer, Giro (invoice)
etc.

These billing options could also be used at any international or US paysite - most of the local billing companies I have been talking to, didnīt mind more business from companies in other countries.

(note to processors, if you donīt know where to start, then feel free to contact me  )

Another note!

In my ongoing study of chargebacks (see. http://www.oprano.com/msgboard/index.php?a...a7d46452a93ca38 ) then I have seen that most of the people who does 5-6 months of chargebacks in a row are comming from Europe. Getting more Europeans on local solutions will mean less chargebacks :yowsa:

Oh and did I mention that local billing options/pricing = more signups = more money :yowsa:

We've also been looking into more foreign billing options. Even though it's a smaller focus for our current revamping/rollout for the PPS proggie, goth brings in a shitload of German traffic and yet almost none of the transactions are getting through so our decline rate is really really scary...I'd like to see more options as well (besides dialers).
