I love when they do bits on internet porn on maintstream TV. They come up with the funniest names for things! I can't remember what they called exit consoles once, but they always end up talking to people who run one cam site or something. They can never land a good contact at a big company! rofl

Whoa, Your younger than I am???? Holy Shit!!! :nyanya: |
I hope they mention me by name so when my gramma watches, she can call her neighbors and brag.......
Nah, it'll be the same old shit.....Prime Time Live will now be enterting the capitalizing on porn sweepstakes (the way they are advertising it is pretty funny). Watch for a nice little spike in traffic after the broadcast ;) |
I think you mean you're. Ok ok, I will stop now! I'm only 3 years younger.
Sykk.....the special that was on PBS a year or so ago mentioned deviant sites like that guy who does all the rape videos and stuff and then flashed my pregnant site, lol, fuckers! |
|
Well *sigh here it goes again. Last year I told my parents to watch whatever special was on and it made everything out to be so bad they were pissed. I'll tell them to give it another try and keep in mind it's 99% bullshit. They understand a bit more nowadays so it shouldn't be so bad.
My dad still wears his insiteadult shirt proudly lol... |
My god, after watching this, Im never dealing with porn again.
We are animals. Look what we are doing to the youth. hahaha Fuckin Media They can make the pope look bad, but then they take something like the porn industry which already has a bad name, and blow it WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of proportion. :headwall: :headwall: |

The media can only help the Pope at this point. :wankit: |
i missed the show :wankit:
what happened ? |
Look on the positive side. It shows just how mainstream porn has become and that there is public demand. Legal cases on consensus morality would be damn hard to win with those numbers. In fact someone should tape and archive shit like that. Let the media do the research. Those were some pretty large numbers and big names. Imagine issuing subpoenas for that??? I’d sure as hell try if my ass was on the block for illegal content.
Will there be continued regulation? Yes. How they plan on doing this I don’t know. It seems like the real pornsters are doing that themselves by creating networks, opening support venues and looking out for one another. |

I missed it; I was at the Free Speech Coalition general meeting, part of which was filmed by 60 Minutes and one of our local news shows. Bill Margold said they came and interviewed him for the Primetime piece, with the intention of a 15-minute conversation -- and ended up spending 4 hours with him. He said it'd be interesting to see how much of that actually made it to broadcast.
I doubt we'll ever see a mainstream piece that makes us out to be anything but the cause of the end of the world as we know it. It pisses me off to no end. :headwall: |
Well...from the article that was posted (I missed the broadcast too - although I didn't have as good a reason as Rox did - lol) it's like everything else. Much promised - little delivered. Any one of us could have answered those questions given to AVN, Fred Lane, Greg Clayman, etc. - because we've seen those same interviews and heard those same questions/answers a million times before. These people are supposed to be journalists - and they don't even know how to ask new and interesting questions.
*sigh* Rox - would love to hear more about the FSC event that you attended. I bet there was a lot more *news* than this article/Primetime thing featured. :okthumb: |
Quite possibly the single most maddening (and scariest) thing I learned last night (and Piccionelli may have already said it at Internext or one of the other shows I had to miss -- so sorry if this is old news):
Yahoo! employs 10 full-time legal staff members -- 6 attorneys and 4 paralegals, or maybe vice-versa... but whatever -- who do NOTHING but collect ALL the private data of their registered users and VOLUNTARILY hand that info over to the government on a regular basis. WHAT THE FUCK??? We're not even talking about the Feds having gone to Yahoo! and subpoenaed the data or even just requested it in a friendly way. Yahoo!'s just fucking turning the shit over to them -- like it's some sort of patriotic duty and their contribution to the "War on Terrorism." The more I hear and the more I read, the more angry I get; at both the government and the media for its constant spewing of bullshit propaganda aimed scaring the bejeezus out of "average Americans," and at those "average Americans" who are so clearly incapable of independent thought, and uneducated, wussy-ass retards that they don't understand how this fearmongering is calculated to ensure they don't see, or if they DO see, they don't question, the unprecedented removal of civil liberties that are being perpetrated on us in the name of "Homeland Security." There IS no way to guarantee we'll be safe from some psychotic religious freak or group of freaks, but the idiot Americans, products of the shithole called public education are more than happy to give up their right to privacy because the reigning assholes in office say that doing so will somehow allow Big Brother to keep them safe. :kapow: AssholeCroft and the Shrub :shooter: It breaks my heart to see just how many Americans are so clearly unaware that the liberties they've given away will NEVER be returned. Moreover, it enrages me that these morons are allowed to make decisions for those of us who would rather take our chances of another attack from outside forces than to stand by and make ourselves vulnerable to a far more pervasive evil -- a government that has far more power over ordinary citizens than was ever intended in this country. Once again, I believe it's the unfortunate result of the fact that the ignorant and stupid breed more rampantly than the intelligent. We're outnumbered, and they're being encouraged via talk radio and pulpit to make sure it stays that way. Ah well, I went off on a rant again... there were some other really interesting points made last night, but I'll save 'em for later. :D |

:okthumb: very cool post Billy, can I nominate Rox for the asshole list if she isn't on there already? :P |
I saw it and taped it... DVD dups for $2.99, but don't tell the networks!
but I must admit, the crying brunette almost got to me --- shows you the "tear factor" is usually the last resort... |

It isn't just uneducated yanks that have shut up due to patrotism... I'm not American and I think it has been very smart for all of us to stand 100% behind The US government after sep11... important to show the baddies we really all DO care enough to make it a bad tactical decision to do it again (hopefully) But it does appear to have gone too far when a company like Yahoo thinks the public would think it was ok for them to give up that stuff WITH a subpeona, let alone just for the hell of it... Maybe Yahoo is forced to continue to host illegal shit?!!? I reckon the first danger signal that Bush might go too far was when the USA told the world "We will not comply by the geneva convention" in relation to the taliban prisoners on Cuba... Any parents here think telling the kids to do what I say, not what I do is a good tactic? |
