Anyone know why 24 wasnt on tonight?

Sure I'll tell you why. Because the networks are %$*& MORONS! Get this, it isn't going to be on for THREE weeks. :headwall:

And that is the second time this short season it has taken a three week break. More and more shows keep doing that too. I watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer sometimes (commence with the jokes) and it just had a 3 week break. The Dead Zone goes on long ass breaks too.

It's stupid as hell and erodes the viewer base of good shows. And networks wonder why they are having a harder and harder time keeping viewers. Imagine if the Internet took a 3 week break!

I watched the Shield tonight, I think that must be the best show on TV right now. Much better then Sopranos. It is pretty intense.

Just checked to make sure. Next Episode: Tuesday February 4!

Fuck by then I won't be able to remember a damn thing that's happened so far this season.

That is the most moronic thing the networks could do.

I think they are coming out with to many new shows
this season, so they have to keep doing this.

I guess they figure out which series are doing the best,
bump them to put on new shows for a few weeks,
knowing that people will be back to watch their favs when
they return.

I say everyone turn their televisions off for one week.

Didn't watch tonight's episode yet, saving it for tomorrow night. Somehow, it wouldn't have been as fun watching it after being forced to suffer through 2 hours of American Idol with my wife as our "family time".

The Shield is MAN TV, and I won't lead into it with American Idol.

Ahhhh good to see some fans of the Shield.

It is a good show, I do not get to catch it all the time - but I try to. It is intense, and gritty. With too many shows like Friends on TV, its nice to see something like the Shield.

24 is a series on Fox usually on Tue Nights.

Its an outstanding show that each episode
is one hour.

The whole season is based on one day or
24 hour time period.

Has Keifer Sutherland as the main star and he
works for a counter terrorism unit.

Its a great show, but you will be completely lost
if you havent seen it from the beginning.
Go buy the first season, watch it, then after this
season is over, go buy the 2nd season on dvd.
Trust me, youll like it.

I don't get American TV, but I bought the first season on DVD...it rocked. I'm glad to hear that the second season's out on DVD now..watched all 24 episodes of the first season in less than a week!

last time i did this was with queer as folk ... watched first season in about 5 days.

i was living their life for weeks afterwards, kept thinking i was one of the characters and wondering why 'brian' hadn't called today

TV is really boring me lately.

I like just a few shows. I haven't yet tired of the constant ethical dilemnas on "Boston Public". I
still watch Friends hoping Joey ends up with a pornstar or that maybe Monica will get run over by a bus. I want to see one of the girls punch "Joe Millionaire" in the face but the show is dreadfully boring on the way to what is surely going to be a disappointing ending. When does "Meet the Parents" start?

I watched "American Idol" last night and find watching people that really think they are good that suck to be highly entertaining. Paula Abdul is still hot. This show will fizzle as soon as they get rid of the rejects. Reminds me of those old Brady Bunch shows where everyone sings and dances.

I miss Seinfeld.

"Best Damn Sports Show Period" and "Sports Center" are always good.

I could understand 24's three week hiatus during Christmas and New Years, but then to get two episodes and take another three week break really pisses me off...

I thought that since this show actually has 24 episodes they might not do this, but of course I was wrong... damn networks. <grumble>

And yes, the Shield is excellent! I've seen every episode and it's a high priority on TiVo. (The number 2 spot right below 24) For those of you who know Matt in our office, I call him *Vick* all the time. Especially when he wears a leather jacket and sun glasses. hahaha
