Just saw Star Trek nemesis last night. It was hard to find a theatre still showing it and it hasn't been out that long!
I think the movie broke some basic Star Trek rules. Made Picard seem like a fool at the end and Data a superman but thats what happens when Brent Spiner the actor who plays Data gets to write the movie I guess.

I think the ending is what killed this movie. Nobody likes to be bummed out by a Star Trek movie. Remember the original series and how they always made a joke at the end of the show and end up laughing at spock or something?

Do you think it was a bad movie?

with the review like that,
I'll wait for DVD

It was quite a good movie. Just came out at a REAL bad time.

I thought it was one of the better Star Trek movies.

Yup. Not quite as good as Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (Ricardo Monteblan should have been nominated or won an Academy Award for that performance as Khan IMHO) but easily as good or better than First Contact, The Voyage Home, or the Undiscovered Country.

They made a blunder of galactic proportions (no pun intended) by releasing Nemesis so that it's second weekend at the box office was the week that Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers released. A mistake so huge it is hard to put into words. Nemesis weekend one to weekend two drop was over 70%, a drop that in box office tracking is considered an EXTREME disaster.

Nemesis will go down in history by far as the worst performing Star Trek movie in theaters. In fact, it straight up BOMBED.

As far as how good it was, I don't know. I'm waiting to get it on DVD.

I normally really enjoy star trek movies but I have to say this one wasn't the best. I was suffering from a bit of the flu at the time we went to see it but I kept falling asleep in it and I don't do that in films.

What was the moon buggy chase anyway? A bit weird and so 'stylishly' washed out.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I am a Next Generation fan from way back. I've got TiVo programmed to record them whenever they are on. In fact there's a marathon today. :-)

I'm going to wait for DVD and I'm looking forward to Nemesis. I've heard mixed reviews though...
