Tuesday morning I played golf, came back, went to the show for awhile then went back to the hotel for awhile to change, shower, etc. for the parties later. Then wham!!! All the sudden I'm not feeling too well. Oh well, a nap will cure that, instead I wake up at 8 PM feeling horrible. Well, no gameworks, should be ok by tomorrow for PHB, tomorrow comes and I'm ten times worse. My buddy tuffruff stops over in the morning with medicine. I write off the show but figure if I take the pills, everything should be reasonably calm by 8. Wrong again, now I'm sweating uncontrolably due to how hot I am. So back to bed to hack, cough, wheeze, heave the night away. Basically, I spent my last 45 hours in Vegas in bed and it wasn't by choice. It's always positive when you get on your flight home and ask your flight attendant for a barf bag "just in case". :grrr:

Needless to say this was a very disappointing trip for me after the way it started out.

I jet-lagged and then crashed at the end of the conference too.

Sorry I missed you as well. On a positive note I was probably the only person to go to Vegas and lose 15 pounds. I still feel terrible though, not as bad as before but still not good.

For those wondering, I was fine when I went to bed Sunday Night...woke up Monday like someone pegged me with a baseball bat right on my kneecap...no swelling, no discoloration, just pain and can't carry any weight.

Still, i hobbled around and made it to what i could, and PHB was classic.

MikeFold. sound similar too me. I have a strained tendon in my right knee and the doc can't figure out what is wrong with my left knee.
I'm sure it's weight related for me.. time to hit the gym.. but can't hit the gym till my knee's are better. how's that for a catch 22?

I have an appt for a specialist next friday!

I still remember being sick in New Orleans. Got home Sunday afternoon and spent the next few days in the hospital - seems I was 4+ pints low on blood - oops! My Dr. asked me why NO ONE saw how pale I was....Uh, drunk pornmasters in N.O. noticing something like that? :agrin:

Ulfie I saw you in the airport, at least somebody who looked like you, and after again hearing the rumorus that you were not a real person I just assumed it was a goast I saw : )

Hope you get better, heck I think this show was a first, my wife went to Vegas sick and came home well : )

Really sucked ulfie was going to let me be his date to the PHB and I was looking foward to it.

Sounds like me in New Orleans and Phoenix..I ended up spending two extra days in both places, just lying dying in hotel rooms. At least in NO, they comped my room, they felt so sorry for me.

I didn't get my convention crud this time until the day I was going home, which makes for really pleasant travel, but at least I didn't miss any parties. Poor Ulfie, that really sucks.

I'm still feeling a bit lousy, but heck, at least this kind makes me lose weight hehehe. Haven't really eaten a thing since Wednesday. Time to try the chicken soup, usually fixes me right up.

Bill PMB told me that he was carrying antibacterial handwipes..not a bad idea. So many of us live relatively isolated lives, then we toss ourselves into the middle of several hundred people. I have gotten sicik at every single show I've ever atteneded.

But hey, most of the hugs and kisses were totally worth a couple days of suffering. :D

Convention Crud is something that is always part of the shows.... I lucked out this year, while I was worn out, I did not get sick.

I was lucky to see Ulfie, did not talk to him much because I thought I would get to spend some QT with him at the Oprano Dinner....

Somewhere between the layover on the return fight and arriving home I got the flu. I've been so sick since Thursday night. I am glad I made through the show but I'm paying in a big way.

If I can just get through my emails...So hard to work with a fever. Put the sweater on take it off! Oh and napping, I nap for an hour and then I go to sleep after drinking water and eating very light. Sigh now I have to take another layer off then I'll just have to add all the layers back on.

Just wondering how long is this bug going to last?
