Serious inquiries apply only:

Half a mill in US $ funds are burning a hole in my pocket.
I want to invest it on this Internet thing, but I haven't any idea where to invest it?:(
Can anyone offer any innovative or creative ideas what to do with this money?
Hopefully something in the Adult Industry. :okthumb:
Lets us hear from you, I'm always catching others that are saying: "if I had the money, I would...".
Well I'm listening? :)

Nope,
Do I need to prove anything that I say is a lie or not???
Nope,
I wouldn't be asking about lawyers and other similar topics if I wasn't serious.
Yes, it's burning a whole in my pocket. No bull :okthumb:

I have a few ideas running thru my head at this time for some adult businesses. But I wanted to see if anyone else is thinking maybe along the same line as I am.
And the "Tahiti and watch the naked girls on the beach". idea was not one of them. But thanks Forest :)

I'd buy some apartment complexes and hire a management company or buy a nice commercial building.

Oh no, sorry I didn't, I wasn't thinking about getting into any more debt, and the investment is just a drop in the hat for the type of real estate, investment Taxes on this type of property are thru the roof here in Florida, not including insurances are a bitch to get here without major down payments. Besides if I would do something like that, it would be something like a winghouse or a Starbucks, where I'd hire a bunch of college girls to serve coffee and stuff, while I drool all day checking them out and blaming it on to much coffee. :)

if it was not adult I would put the money into a kickass state of the art mobile dj setup

so many dj setups in the mobile market are old and outdated, or just basic and boring

I would go to the highest level and get dvd mixers with flat screen tv's to go with it and a high quality projector, lasers, etc....probably get 4 or 5 exact setups, then hire on 4-5 great dj's, and advertise the fuck out of all the colleges and schools in the area

I have been slowly doing this myself here recently, but some of this equipment is just SO expensive right now for what I want.

i think in a mobile dj atmosphere it is not only important for the dj to be current for his behind the scenes equipment, but also for the crowd too

dj dvd player, it plays the music and you can mix it just like a regular dj setup, but it also broadcasts the videos too

I don't have any specifics concerning Fla. real estate. I do keep a close eye on the markets and there are a lot of people that borrowed money on some of the creative APR mortgage schemes that are going to see their mortgages double or triple. They are expecting record foreclosures over the next few years, and that could drive the market prices down.
I am already witnessing it in Michigan.
I realize Fla market is different, but they have had their fair share of housing market pain in the past.

How about buying stock in a 7 year old established cutting edge technology company?

I'd say adultvest, which would then invest in a cutting edge high tech building a new factory to produce more product, but they can't seem to get their act together after a year and a half of communication. In fact, I really have only ever heard of one company, very recently, that they have actually invested in, so my suspicions are piqued.

So, cut out the middleman, and invest direct.

Ya I've had a few sponsors name presented to me.
I'm not looking to invest in something that exist.
I'm thinking of a project now, that I'm speaking with a few people who have contacted me thru Oprano. :)
I want something INNOVATED & NEW :okthumb: Adult Industry needs something really innovative & creative.
The Adult Industry was a trend setter at one time in this field as the examples placed by hell puppy in the other thread:

Picposts
TGP's
Pop-ups
Blind links
Free trials
Limited trials
Pop-unders
Cross sells

Now how many can you name that have been invented in the last 2 years? 3 years? Heck, even 5 years?!??

This industry is fading away with it's old school ways and it's getting pushed down all the time with these new laws and regulation.
It's time we came up with some new ideas to begin it all again :okthumb:

a.........right. Ok. Some kind of new software thingy? Some new way to sell the same old thing?
Ok, good luck with that.

Your idea of "something new and innovative" is definately different than mine.
Finding a new way to trick surfers into entering their credit card numbers to look at digital versions of Playboy and huslter on a pc monitor instead of on a sheet of paper isn't my idea of "New and innovative."

Or, how about a new way to watch a VHS tape, Circa 1983, but this time on a-, yes, you got it, a PC Monitor instead of your TV.

Frankly, I don't see any of the myriad methods of presenting the material to be any more "innovative" than that. The last 10 years have been a bit lackluster. In 1995 the industry was selling pictures of chics doing the nasty. 2007? Still selling pictures of chics doing the nasty.
Pictures get there a little bit faster, and the pages look a bit more snappy, but essentially the same product. That's why it >feels< tired and old. same 'ole cracker.

I mean really, think about it.....

Live Broadcast TV technology-i.e. video streaming
Phone sex- i.e. -streaming audio
Playboy/Hustler magazine (a really big stack)- i.e. scanned versions of pictures on a website
VCR Video tape-i.e. Video streaming, download and play, etc. with a better filing system.

I mean, when you really think about it......what innovative technology has an adult website, even the really well done ones, really brought to the world other than a better filing system for the same porn content we've had for years?

If I made a 1983 video tape into a digital file, and played it back, could you really tell the difference between it, and a current one from say hot movies?
Sure you can chop it up and index it, but like I said, really good filing system.
That's what computers do good. Organize large chucks of data and make them accessible.
Not to discount all the great content out there, and all the money that's been made. 'cause it's clear, money can be made.

But innovative? Not so much.

Reach out from the video, and grab the viewer by the balls? Now THAT is something new.
Reach out and poke the closet gay guy in the ass as it's happening on the screen? That's something you can't do today.
Feel the chic at the other end of the video picture suck the chrome off your bumper hitch?
Yep, you guessed it. New.

Take a core technology, and expand it into many other fields. That's our plan.
We'll get there.....slow and steady, or fast and furious.
We've got a solid core. Now, expanding into all the other fields is just a matter of time and parallel development.

really to even begin to answer this question would require about a month of serious thought and research and the final answer certainly wouldnt be a paysite :)

We have proprietary download to own software that is available on license for the US.
The software can be used for download and burning to DVD of adult and non-adult movies.
We can talk about exclusive rights, joint venture marketing, everything is negotiable.

Your idea of "something new and innovative" is definately different than mine.

Well then, I'm listening? what are your innovative concepts about?

Finding a new way to trick surfers into entering their credit card numbers to look at digital versions of Playboy and huslter on a pc monitor instead of on a sheet of paper isn't my idea of "New and innovative."

See Now? there is your key fuck up word "trick surfers"? I'm not attempting to trick anyone, If this is the system behind your marketing ideology, well thats some piss poor business planning.

Or, how about a new way to watch a VHS tape, Circa 1983, but this time on a-, yes, you got it, a PC Monitor instead of your TV.

Yes, you on the right track here, except try that backward, STEP OUTTA THE INTERNET BOX ;)

Well thats my objective also: "Selling pictures of chics doing the nasty"
Just offer it in a different perspective & mode instead how it's being done for the past 10 years.

I first played with VR at a fair back in the early-mid 80's. So, you combine some VR with a motorized pocket pal and you call it new?

Sorry, ifriends was doing that by 2000 or so with remote controlled dildoes, etc.

I am not downing your product here, or not saying it's not cool. But to try to label everything else as not being "innovative" because they were merely taking what was happening in print or TV and moving it to the net while trying to label yours as innovative and new when it has also been done before is pure bullshit.

just imho of course.

Just as an aside, reaching out and grabbing the surfer by the balls would be innovative if it did not involve the surfer having to wear some kinda contraption. You think you are gonna see ME put some machine around my dick and then give someone else(real or virtual) the control over it??? You got another think coming.

Your facts are slightly askew-
We were the ones that introduced this technology in 2000. (Easily verifiable)
We first demomstrated it publicly in 1998 on a show that reached many interested people and generated several serious partnership offers.
Ifirends/webpower decided on doing a poor rip-off of what we were doing when Al Hadhazy and I couldn't reach an accommodation. Their idea was to make a Chinese remote control vibrator with a low cost and high sales price, make money hard and fast at the surfer's expense.
Our idea was to create a new technology with immersive Virtual Reality and Haptic peripherals. What we did, and still today, had never been done before. (Except in the movies, and in literature)
We're still here, they aren't. Draw your own conclusions.

"surfer having to wear some kinda contraption. " -are you referring to the Virtual Sex Machine, or a VR Headset? Of course you must insert your penis in the VSM (That's where the haptic part comes from) but the VR headset is a completely unrelated immersive device that is not part of our technology, but IS compatible with it.

Our system is not a "remote controlled dildo" anything. It recreates an experience physically as it happens on whatever screen (Monitor or headset) you may be working with.
I assume you prefer manual masturbation release to videos as opposed to an automated procedure. Certainly up to you.

But I'm afraid you may not completely understand the concept, and if that's the case, our marketing is severely lacking.
If I can't make an industry insider understand the technology with a glance, we have a harder time making the average surfer understand.
I find it incredibly difficult to judge how best to portray the technology in a way that clearly describes it to someone that has never seen it before. Your initial impressions are very helpful in guiding our efforts.
Much of what we do is exactly this: educate people on a new concept that formerly only existed in the imagination.

But my initial assessment is not meant as an indictment on the entire online adult industry. the TECHNOLOGY result that has resulted from "porn on the internet" has advanced very little. If the internet has had any kind of great innovation, it would be in the area of distribution and access. It has truly flattened the earth and made instant access to all manner of information. My comment was limited to the parameters set out by the thread starter's (RCourt64) request, and subsequent comments narrowing that thought.

As usual, you completely miss the point.
Let me put it in terms I think you will understand.
Let's assume you take the greatest sex pictures in the world. Agreed to by everybody. (This conversation requires a leap of imagination, I know)
How you deliver/sell that picture to your customer- surfer as you call him, is the point.

Whether he looks at that picture on fine 80lb glossy print paper, or the same exact size on a computer monitor, or TV doesn't make a hill of beans difference technology wise.

It's a very pretty, static picture, that he strokes to with his hand, and imagines she's real.
The past 40 years of technological delivery really hasn't changed that much.
I realize you want to parse the statement and somehow create meaning for your existence in there, but at the end of the day, the only incremental advancement is in in filing and instant access to many of those type of pictures. Not in the core product; the girl in the picture. You are not one iota closer to touching her supple breast than you were 40 years ago.

Slice and dice what I say, how I say it, and your perceived slight all you want, but that's it.

sarettah 08-15-2007 02:58 PM

Re: Serious inquiries apply only:

I think I understand more than you think.

Call it what you will. It is a pocketpal, a fancy high tech, motorized and highly technologized pocket pal.

as far as your comment to Rcourt:

Quote:

You are not one iota closer to touching her supple breast than you were 40 years ago.
And your product is? How? because you are creating a sensation inside some contraption so it actually feels like you are touching something?? You still aren't any closer to touching the actual thing, you are just fooling yourself better.

"Picture it if you will, perhaps the Mick Jagger model, average length caucasion. Giant glossy of Mick taped to the ceiling, you slip on the top, put in the cassette and Mick Jagger sings Jumping Jack Flash between your legs ladies and gentlemen....."

"And they come in all shapes and sizes from the little emaciated white John Denver model (how do you know??) to the large black transparent Jimi Hendrix model...."

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I respectfully disagree with you.
And, having never experienced it, it's easy for you to say "it's a pocket whatever."
It's Ok, I don't need to "convert" you.

We have created a way to be closer, but you are right. It's not the real thing and never will be. That is, after all, the whole point. It's "VIRTUAL REALITY."
It "being real" is NOT the whole point. Not having direct access to the "real thing" is exactly what we are talking about in all these conversations.
You have the "thing," but on your terms, and when, where, and how YOU want it.
Perhaps that doesn't appeal to you, but fortunately for us, it does appeal to millions of others.
And again, I'm not on a quest to convert you to my "religion."

You do prove one of my points though....even in 1974 people were dreaming of Virtual Sex, in the limited technological terms they understood at the time....
good lord, am I old enough to remember loading programs from cassette tapes?
The two little blinking squares as the the computer performed "cload"
Later, I even had one of those fancy floppy disc things.....single sided, 180K in my coco!

Lolol.. people have been trying to figure out how to have satisfying sex by themselves for ages. Nothing new about it, long before 1974, hell I bet the first cave man that had his cave lady pull a "Not tonight, this thing on my shoulders hurts" (they hadn't invented a name for heads yet) and he had to do hisself by hand, he probably was looking around trying to figure out what else there was that he could stick his thing into to get some action (watch out for the tyrannosaurus rex dude, he looks like he'd like it, but he won't).

And all I was trying to say in all this is that while you poo poo other "innovations" and try to play yours up as something "new", it isn't any newer than any of the other ideas out there. And that was really my only point.

There is really nothing new under the sun, just possibly better delivery systems :okthumb:

Well, it's certainly one opinion....

I wonder what cave man's version of sheep were? 'cause you know that twisted fuck that hadn't invented the church yet, was poking anything that felt good, and looked inviting. (And more importantly, he could catch.)

Q: Who do we have to thank for the dildo?

—N.S., Columbus, Ohio

A: The phallic sex toy probably qualifies more as a discovery than an invention. After all, the vagina is made to accommodate not merely a penis, but anything of that general character. Smooth sticks, bones and various vegetation no doubt presented themselves early on to the creative human mind.

Spotting the first human-made, specifically engineered dildo is no easy task. History has largely shunned chronicling sexual behavior. Modern retrospective history tends to be biased, as we all are in sexual matters: Unmistakable images in art have often been downplayed by mainstream historians while lesbian scholars have tended to grab at any dildo-shaped straw. It can be very difficult to tell the difference between phallic symbolism—which was rampant in the ancient world—and actual, practical dildo use.

There is also the matter of ill-understood defloweration ceremonies performed on young girls in the ancient East. Whether the implements used in such cases are, per se, dildos is a matter of interpretation.

(The origin of the world “dildo,” incidentally, is unknown, and of fairly recent, 17th-century vintage.)

The earliest dildo descriptions we can identify with certainty come from ancient Greece, as early as about 400 B.C. Their imagery adorns large numbers of surviving pottery and other artworks, and their use is confirmed in surviving literature from the period.

The Greeks called their dildos olisbos. They appear to have been made of either smooth wood or very soft leather. There are some descriptions of olisbos with straps attached, possibly for fixing the dildo to a solid object for convenience, or perhaps also for wearing and using with a partner. (Straps are a common add-on for modern dildos; the same idea we know to have been hit upon in medieval Asia.)

The Greek descriptions make it clear that dildos were very popular among lesbians. There is more discretion regarding their use among straight women, but they appear to have been quite mainstream there as well, if art is any suggestion.

I could find no ancient references to anal dildo use among either women or men. Absence of evidence is surely not evidence of absence in this case, but commercially designed, specialty anal dildos seem to be a fairly modern invention.

I saw some caveman era photos of suspiciously shaped rocks before too.
CaveMan-find something to stick into:
CaveWoman-Find something to stick in:

probably had the same damn arguments about what channel they were gonna watch on the celestial Tv at night.

Tell me, why didn't they ever come up with a tv that had split (equal size of course) screens that had two channels of audio output to sell to married people?

(This, of course, is precisely why I never got married...no compatible TV)

I gotta have my Trek and Battlestar Galactica.
