well that settles it, only fish and chips for me If /when I go to England... nothing else ....
Joe, I saw this TV cooking show recently where they went to a scottish farm and this old woman made traditional black and white puddings ... I have a very open mind with food and will try anything, but when she started pouring GALLONS of blood into a giant bowl for the black pudding, I (and the chef she was teaching) had to hold back the puke!!!!!

:barfon:

I'm not just talking a little blood to color the mixture ... imagine how you would add milk to pancakes if you were cooking a batch for 100 ..... it just kept pouring and pouring.

:barfon:

I must stop, its one of the few foods that really turns my stomach, especialy after that show. [/b][/quote]
Goddamn is everyone a pussy!?!?!?!

no!! just non-blood eaters!! LOL

I would have tried it prior to this TV show .. in fact, I'm sure my grandparents have made it when i was little ... generally nothing grosses me out where food is concerned.

one of my fave dishes on my parents menu was lambs brains, wrapped in pancetta, served on a bed of rice or cous cous and topped with a creamy cheesy sauce. i've eaten almost every part of an animal at one time or another ...

there was just something about the way she poured this blood into this big container .........

eew!

Dravyk 03-21-2005 10:27 PM

Mmmmm. Lambs brains.

Nettle soup ( staple)

Heather ( on holidays and outside the tube)
