Vick 10-04-2003 11:30 AM

Her daughter is 5 and my son is 2

I won't take Sebastian as his mother would not approve and I'm a very doting father (I think the sun rises and sets on my son) and he is a 100% of my attention experience when we are together (by ourselves). Plus I don't drink much (if at all) when I'm with Sebastian

I'll play it by ear

Plus she said she had a "surprise" for me today

Hmmmmmm ......

I'm broad minded but ...

That's BROAD as in female he he he he

ulfie 10-04-2003 12:25 PM

Have fun Vick. It's raining like a hurricane here today so I have to think it will be heading your way soon if it's not already there. Hope that doesn't spoil the day.

As for the surprise, just make sure you don't get one like I did and find out you're married again. :o

It's not a bad thing. Now whenever a hot babe tries to pick me up (like that ever happens) I just say I'm married. :P

confucy 10-04-2003 02:14 PM

You know what they say Vick, about attracting women...while out, take a cute and friendly dog with you - or better yet, take a cute child with you. For some reason, the two make you appear real and human. Plus, you can tell a lot about a man by watching his actions with animals and kids.

I hope her little girl isn't a brat. I love kids, but I do not like bratty kids. :rokk:

Did the little kids end up staying with their relatives while you and the new lady made mad passionate love in the rain? Don't let your buddies down who wanted you to spend time with the lovely lady. Is it a case of love at first sight. We are waiting, Vick. :inlove:

Vick, I heard you missed the BEST ren fest ever!!

Aren't they all the same? Why go every weekend? :)

KC 10-04-2003 11:31 PM

Do you get dressed up when you go? Are you in the skits and things? I'm still confused. ;)

Because it's like visiting another world, or at least another time... it just gets in your blood and you finally feel like you're home. You don't go to see things or do things, like an amusement park... you go just to BE there.

Well, that's how it is for me. :)

if I could chose which world and time to visit,
I'd chose Rome....during the orgies time

The Rest of the Story
also known as be careful what you desire because you just might get what you deserve

Driving toward Fells Point I check my cell phone and have a message from P. saying the restaurant/bar I chose for us to meet at was closed (still from storm surge from the hurricane) and she let's me know of another restaurant where we can meet.

I call her cell, she answers and I say that's fine I'm on the way and running about 5 minutes late

Get to Fells Point and there's 20K+ people at the Street Festival and .... the restaurant she suggested is closed :zoinks:

So I call her cell, leave a message and walk around for about 30 minutes, I head back to the restaurant she suggested still closed and I check the restaurant next door. Don't see her. I wait a little longer (total wait time 1 hour to be extremely courteous) and take off.

I'm back home by 3:30 changed and at the RenFest by 4:30  and making merry

and .......... :D

as this thread/story is getting a little long I left the end ambiguous. You can make up your own ending, please know I have a weakness for Redheads

KC - Carrie explained it pretty well

No, I don't work there but I do have an excellent time and meet/see interesting sites and people

Great food, good drinking, excellent shopping, quality entertainment, lots of fun, lots to do and see and merriment and thousands of people (I really don't like homo sapiens that much but you can really be alone in a crowd)

I've made friends with the proprietor and staff at one of the Inn's (imagine that) and they take care of me for food and drink (and I'm not above sneaking a bottle of Citron in and having "meetings" with the proprietor and staff)

Have been doing simple illusions for about 2 years now and I take 6 or 7 illusions and have fun with people he he he

It a very tasty, interesting and intriguing slice of hedonism - so I keep going back for the pie :groucho: <-- in lieu of a food icon

I was starting to understand.. now you're just twisting my mind.

What does it mean to take illusions? Is that some sort of medieval drug or something? ;)

Taking 6 or 7 of them at once sounds a little dangerous!!

Note to self - don't do levitation in front of KC :D

Illusions as in magic tricks. I do some close-up magic.

When I'm stopped (by people asking about my clothes/costumes or asking if the can take my picture) sometimes I'll have a little fun by "floating a card or coin or making a coin pass through someone's closed hand or turning a (small) flash of fire into a ball - stuff like that

Also I'll whip out the tricks for sad looking children, no one should be sad on fair day - works most every time

KC 10-05-2003 05:35 AM

And they do this every weekend? In the same location or do you follow it around?

I'm still very confuseded

The Maryland Fest is every Saturday and Sunday from the end of August until the end of October. It is at a permanent location here with permanent structures (building and such)

Many other states have festivals (Florida has fests in 3 different locations) and some of the performers and artisans work the fair circuit

I've been to fests in a few states but don't actually follow the fair circuit

Um now I'm confused

My dick has an eye but can't see so it can't read

confucy 10-05-2003 11:40 AM

Now I'm confused!

You and your sexy Greek lady played phone tag...showed up separately at restaurants in two different locations that were closed. You waited an hour and she never contacted you in person or by phone and you went to the RenFaire (alone) in costume and did magic tricks. Is this correct?

Vick! So what is happening now? Did you talk again and set a new time and place to meet? What about picking her up at her home? Did you consider taking your ex-wife to the Faire? We have an on-going mystery, and you can't leave us hangin' :redance:

call me names,
but I don't see the old flame going out completely
;-)

confucy 10-05-2003 12:27 PM

Serge, do the *old flames* ever go out completely? I still have a soft spot in my heart for all my ex-boyfriends. Something special brings two people together, and I want to remember the good times.

I don't have any children, but I had an arrangement one time like Vicks' where I shared a place with an old flame after we broke up. It worked, for a while, and then we had to go our separate ways. We didn't have a problem, but his parents wanted him to get married and have many sons, and they thought we were living *in sin* although we had cut the place in half and rarely saw each other.

Winetalk.com 10-05-2003 01:06 PM

yes, alas, they do...
I was doing my ex I divorced in 1996 til...last year,
but after the shit she pulled on me with her son I knew since he was 18 months old,
I barelly speak with her and will NEVER share the bed with her again.

very sad story, indeed

confucy 10-05-2003 11:38 PM

Sarettah, they are all alive, but one went to Israel five years ago, and nobody knows what happened to him.

Where are your ex-lovers/girlfriends?

Better yet, what happened to the Vick story? I thought we were going to hear some details about the RenFaire and the Greek maiden.

VICK, COME OUT, COME OUT, WHEREVER YOU ARE! :rokk:

Carrie 10-06-2003 01:44 AM

Well that was a weird story, and certainly not what I expected... glad you got to go to the 'Fest, though!

Sick with a stomach virus, just starting to get around

Yes, Confucy everything happened pretty much as you outlined it. I have taken my ex and son to the Fair one week but I am there mostly for a non family outing

Serge - always appreciate your thoughts
I don't think there is still a flame there, we get along well not being married because there are no expectations and no recourse
She's a great girl and an excellent mother
but we became different people

Winetalk.com 10-06-2003 08:09 PM

Vick, divorces are a bitch, especially with GOOD people...
and I'll shut up on this note...

confucy 10-06-2003 11:35 PM

Vick, you are a good man. Most men would have walked away and would see their son on holidays, if then. Children need their parents. If you can both remain civil to each other and work out an arrangement that is good for all involved, then I tip my hat to you.

Those who like RenFaires are a rare breed. The majority like to have fun, meet new people, dress up, and have a good time. There is a sense of community even if you don't know a soul at the Faire. Enjoy yourself, and please share the Faire with us. I hope to go to a winter Faire in Santa Fe in early 2004. I accidentally found myself at a RenFaire in New Mexico. Santa Fe is a quaint city and doesn't need Faires for entertainment, but what a wonderful setting. The snow was coming down in large flakes for the two days I was there, but it seemed warm outside. I needed a jacket, but no bulky coat. By the time the snow hit the ground, it magically disappeared. Not only were the food and the costumes great, but I got hooked on Indian jewelry. :okthumb:
