Have you ever done anything like invented anything

I have had quite a few businesses. Started my first when i was 19.

or do you have a successful internet business.

I consider directnic.com, Intercosmos media group, zipa.com to be successful internet businesses.

BTW, I do. Your turn. BTW, how long is your career,

I turned 30 last year. started when i was 18 as a sysadmin, launced my first solo business at 19. my specialties have been traffic generation, brokering and marketing. I have had excellent people around me and have been very fortunate to be involved with good people.

if you can call internet porn a career.

i have been out of the internet porn game for years. when i was in it i was part of the pioneer movement of major traffic generation and brokering. never had the stomach for content.

...hmm now that is a thought. I certainly would not. Its just a really good way to make money.

Money facilitates ideas. income and resources allow ideas and concepts to flourish. the more you can bring in, the more of a safety net for invention and progress you have.

Chris, is it derregeur to use names around here now? Is it a new board policy? Shall we all just drop the nicks? I suppose that would be possible. Then phone numbers and more. Straight ahead question.

that is a blanket statement considering the personal nature of what ive read. you cannot question anothers life, career, etc without laying cards on the table. that is cowardice, either an inability to pony up what makes what you say something other than dead air, or a realization that all you are doing is venting anger at whomever will listen. even a snake uses its venom for a purpose.

By the time I was thirty, I was travelling the world and documenting bloodshed, famine and social unrest. At 19 I was playing rock and roll music. Later in life I was making documentary films, some on family abuse and the consequences of that.
I do not consider porn a career.
Now, when I asked you what you did, that was a sincere question, peaches comments aside, not meant to be argumentative.
Congrats on running a directnic. Personally, I enjoy content. It suits me just fine. I have no mountains to climb. Just a lot of the planet to see.

Interesting, my more specific career goal is to be a Child Advocacy lawyer, working with the kids who grew up & in bad home situations such as that...

Well, when you are in Vancouver, we should hook up and chat. I actually shot a film in bc about a very similar subject. The abuse was nasty. Post on the Vancouverporn board, and we can chat in a more civilised manner.

You're incapable of chatting in a civilized manner on this board?

I registered over there yesterday, didn't really see anything that I wanted to post in...

There'd probably be less swarming, if you chatted in a more civilized manner on this board...

You have tried? Where? don't forget I already ran the search on all your other posts & saw them, you haven't tried anytime in the (now) 110 posts you've got, that I've seen.

You're starting to now, yes, and I'm sure if you continue to do so you'll find people a lot more amiable in general, than if you come here solely to provoke.

And purposely provoking people for the sake of amusement is a truly childish form of behavior, most commonly found in grade school.

....no this....Is it your professional opinion or have you quoted it from an expert source? Or is it just an opinion stated as a fact? Just curious.

Re: Nick, Trev, and Newton have gone....

Given that you've been so focused on the lives of others I suppose I shouldn't really find it as any surprise that you have yet to live your own to find these things out for yourself.

Having been a child, and having grown up & moved past that into the adult world, and having paid very close attention to the changes in myself as well as in my friends, its a statement that came out of my own head, based off my own life experience.

So sad for you, domboy. Don't worry there is light at the end of the tunnel. I think this board will now progress beyond the same old same old that has plagued it for the last couple of years.

Not exactly the next GFY....lol

Yes, I was a child once, and a little sister to boot. Purposely aggravating my older sister (and later on, other people) just for the sake of amusement is something that I've done myself, and outgrown.

You, on the other hand, clearly have yet to outgrow it.

So you were an aggravating child and it has haunted you to the point you have transferred it to this situation. Tranferrance is not always a solution. You may think you have outgrown it, but here you are stuck in the middle of doing it all over again. You apparently have not lost that aggressive streak but only buried it. Now it is overflowing on your keyboard. It must feel cathartic.

You clearly missed the import of that. Look at a few sigs on this board and see if you can spot from whence that post came. Then, you may apologise.

No, it hasn't haunted me actually and I'm not the one transferring it to this situation. You are the one who is here purposely to aggravate others, not me. If I am aggravating you, it is merely because you are not one of the "quick people" you mentioned earlier that I can use to sharpen my debating skills, this is something I purposely avoided mentioning earlier because it would've been rather petty, but if you're going to take the one piece of knowledge that you think you have on me (again, something of my past, and nothing of what I am today) and try to use it on me, then I shall resort to the dirty tactics which are your style, as that would appear to be all you are capable of knowing & understanding.

OK. I am now officially bored. Unless Evil Chris would like to explain why he thinks we should be using real names when posting (10 to 1 he ducks and dives on this one) I shall leave this thread. Sin good luck before the bar. Let us know when you article.
edit: Caveat:oh yeah unless someone makes flagrantly false statements or says something really stupid. So lets try not to continue this thread. Its going in ever decreasing circles.
