Sarettah, I really like Mitnick Man. I was just learning to use PhotoShop, and a friend helped me put this together. I was so proud of it. I sent Kevin a b&w picture of it, and he was unimpressed.
Those were the good days...the happy days. Not all the times were bad. There some really funny productive days that I will always remember. JR would have been a valuable asset back then when we were putting together the Mitnick website and the Mitnick pamphlets and the Mitnick banners, t-shirts, and stuff to sell to raise money for the Mitnick Defense Fund. I don't know why Mitnick was so scared of my book. Back then, it was a favorable Mitnick book. Suddenly, the tides changed. Hate and Anger took over! :( |

Fletch, this is the first of many letters/faxes back and forth between my attorney and babenet.com Gould was a pretty nice guy in the beginning. His big offer to me was free email and content in return for my babe.net domain name. I won! I still have my name. Even back then, babenet.com was spamming the hell out of me and others. Because they wouldn't stop after my many requests, I took the matter into my own hands. I did get their attention. My attorney was too much for them. They walked away and left me alone.
ELAINE R. ROSEN ATTORNEY AT LAW 4658 El Camino Corto La Canada, California 91011 (818) 790-0952 October 29, 1998 Mr. Clark Garen Attorney at Law P.O. Box 1790 Palm Springs, California 92263 Dear Mr. Garen: I represent BabeNet Ltd., a registered California corporation. BabeNet has been a significant presence on the Internet since 1995, establishing itself as a premier provider of adult entertainment via the World Wide Web. The “BabeNet” trademark and corporate name is well known in the industry and has acquired strong name recognition over the years. Some months ago it came to the attention of my client that Kimberly Tracey had registered the domain name “BABE.NET” with Internic. At her site, Ms. Tracey provides links to a number of sexually explicit internet sites. As might be expected, consumers of on-line adult entertainment ultimately become confused as to the origin of the Web sites. Consequently, people trying to communicate with my client have inadvertently contacted Ms. Tracey. In an effort to resolve the issue of domain name confusion Robert Gould, from BabeNet had, until recently, been communicating directly with Ms. Tracey. I have taken special note that in her email to Mr. Gould dated Monday, October 5, 1998, Ms. Tracey admits that her sister, acting as her agent, sent out a message to some of the people who were allegedly trying to contact my client. The message was a falsified debt collection letter, which requested a payment be made to BabeNet in the amount of $95.98. In addition to being unlawful, the letter was rude and accusatory and placed my client in a false light which will ultimately result in irreparable harm to the reputation of BabeNet Ltd. It is obvious that BabeNet cannot tolerate Ms. Tracey’s continuing infringement of the BabeNet trademark. While Ms. Tracy has “generously” offered to sell my client her domain name for the sum of one half million dollars, we must respectfully decline. Instead, BabeNet is demanding that Ms. Tracey immediately cease and desist her use of the term BABE.NET, which is confusingly similar to my client’s trademark and corporate name. Since this letter is being sent to your Post Office Box (the address supplied to BabeNet by Ms. Tracey) I am unable to send it certified, with a requested return receipt. Therefore, I would appreciate your advising me of your receipt via telephone or facsimile. My phone number is (818) 718.0366. My fax number is (818) 700.2835. I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible regarding this matter. Sincerely, Elaine R. Rosen cc: Robert Gould |
and I wonder....how come they never found Kimberly Tracey???
is it possibble that Kmberley Trace just doesn't exist??? The Social Security Administration has NOBODY in theiur data base with this name living in California and authorized to work in USA ;-))) |
God is my witness, I was trying to employ Kimberly Tracey to work for SSS, Inc
;-))) |
Funny, Rob Gould is the only Babenet name they mention.
Babenet never liked the real names to be involved. hehehe Last edited by Fletch XXX at Dec 2 2003, 05:17 PM |
Confucy, sounds to me like Rob was trying to get control of it behind other peoples back if you ask me.
|
Serge, I....confucy aka Kimberly was abducted by aliens under the direction of Art Bell. If you listened to his show on Sunday, you would understand. Let me give you a little clue....Tracey is my married name.
GO DARCI GO! Check those data bases for every Kimberly in existence! You can do it, geeky....GO GO GO GO GO :rokk: |

If you're still friendly with the Babenet crew, you might want to give them a heads up on the true identity of "Kimberly Tracey" - I'm sure Geekgirl could help you out. :) |
Fuck babenet, bunch of scumbags. Gould included.

Im talking about partners, and who really owns what etc. Kinda like having a chubby mascot guy that takes all the theat while the deal spnning money holders hide in the shadows. I dont sell people out to corporations. And Babenet is dead dear. |

Fletch, babenet.com also approached babe.com. Babenet.com wanted both the babe.net and the babe.com names. I liked Gould. He started out being a nice guy. Then he stopped being a nice guy and went after Lew Payne, whose servers I was using. Lew told him to back off and go fuck himself.
You see, babenet.com was sending out spam giving my name, babe.net as the return address. People were emailing me, threatening me, and calling me names. I thought, what the fuck is happening? Babenet.com's office was in the valley, so I gave them a call and asked for an explanation. They never got back to me. I finally got in touch with Rob Gould, but he also ignored me. Sometimes you have to say, *I'm not going to take it anymore!* See, I had a little free pornsite back in '98. That's how I started out, doing freesites. I'm a porn webmaster, Serge! I just choose to keep my sites off the boards. |

When I was working for an ATT Reseller one of the owners was into, shall we say, "shadier businesses". My favorite was when representatives of one of the largest Baptist Churches in the south came in to work out a money laundering deal. :P It happens probably a LOT more than you're aware of and especially in this business, I can see why people would want a front man. :) I see nothing wrong with it. |
I guess I am one of the few who dealt with Gould and left him wondering..
"how the fuck did it happen"? ;-)) ...but he never bought traffic froim me again ;_))) |

Period. I know enough about him, how he conducted business, people he fucked over, and how he acts when his wife wasnt around. Scum is too good of a word. |

Serge, how much do you need to know to be a webmaster?
Some people have many skills and are broke. I have never claimed to be a technical wizard. Plus, if I have trouble with my sig line, you will help me, won't ya?????????? :okthumb: |

Anyhow....[/b][/quote] Merely basing my comments on what you posted. :) I have no idea what you know and don't know, but if you're "hehehe"ing about real names and there being a front man, or as you said, "mascot", then you must be "hehehe"ing a lot of big Adult companies. :) |
