Nah, but like I have said many times, all you got is money...or so you say. But only you and the IRS know for sure. You put a frame on that Picasso yet?

I have friends on and off the boards. You seem to have NONE on the boards. That takes REAL talent. So many years in business and not a SINGLE person who can say:
"I am J'dude's friend"

Pity...

No, who cares really. I am not up at three am posting on a web board. But then again, I can see why you are.
Actually, I don't court friends in this business. I don't need to.

You gotta learn English from me and you'll get friends.

Who cares if I can spell oenophile. You aren't one yet. So it is irrelevant.

I will take my leave. Bed is looking great at the moment. Unless I am voted off the island, we can continue this when you are on top of your game. Then you challenge me which I enjoy. Most around here cannot. So, we can watch the polls and if you choose to continue, I would be most honoured to piss unitl the sun comes up. It is now up to the board.

are you stupid? Since when the boards were Democracy and run by the people?
There is only 2 asses you have to kiss in order to stay -
Joe's and gonzo's.

Well, since it appears I have not been voted off the Island, I will comment Serge.
Everyone has something to teach and learn. From what I have seen, you have no more nor less than most. You have done a good job of marketing yourself as a sage, but, I have seen wise old pundits come and go and most are better at it. So I am not that impressed. Your wit and wisdom would do well in Reader's Digest, but would not fill a chapter. Your success in business was due to a great extent to a bubble in the great capitalist market that has come and gone and if you were starting today, it would be me advising you on the path to success. I am impressed that you managed to keep your capital unlike (those whose names shall not be spoken because they had monkeys crawling all over their back but we all know who "they" are) That is just the way it is. As for your total cock obsession, that is your little minorah to bear. But if it makes you happy, it is a minor issue.
I am shocked that the tribe didn't vote me off. I must be losing my touch.

BTW, congrats to Gonzo. It is interesting to see Oprano recovering nicely from the loss of masses of blind link traffic. Honest business is good business.

Its a bit of joke, actually. There are tons of tours each consisting of 50 or more tourists. The tour guide usually carries an umbrella that they raise for all of their flock to follow. The flock wear hats, badges, or some such identifying marking so the tour guide doesn't lose them. There are lots of headcounts along the way. There are, however, much better ways to see stuff.
You can do it on your own and most interesting sites have little recorders that you can rent for cheap. They guide you along and at different points, they tell you the history of what you are looking at. Combined with eavesdropping on the tours, you can get a very satisfying tour, at your own pace...you know stop for coffee, take a leak, nod off for a bit, or whatever. If there is something really special you want to see and do, budget a few bucks more and get a personal registered guide. Often they are also drivers and that takes care of transport problems. If you are around Sienna and Firenze, there are a ton of Frattoria (sp) wineries where you can stay. The food is usually good and they are in little villages usually twenty or so minutes from major centres. A great way to go. Personally, I think the brochure tours are not necessarily the best way to go.
But you won't believe the herds of Americans in Firenze and Sieanna. I have been to Rome and the Vatican a few times and last time I wanted to take my wife down south, but we bailed and went back to Monte Carlo, the Cote D'azure, and Provence.

Much thanks for info rhetorical,
Very much what I have in mind

Am sure guided tours have their good points but for the most part I'd rather try to fend for myself and my own agenda

I do not contribute Serge's success to luck.

However I will say this.

1.) beautiful home
2.) beautiful woman that loves him
3.) Very knowledgeble and of great character ( a pleasure to be around)
4.) ability to enjoy life

how else does one measure success today ?

Experience?
Those other qualities are a good finish but contribute very little without all the other stuff that is possible.

you are so right , experience is a big one .

Serge, please tell me about some Russian living experience.
or maybe some immigrating to a new land with nothing experience
or pinoeering a new business and rising to the top experience.

Rhetorical, I am interested in hearing your experioence too.

You will have had to read previous posts. Every time someone asks this I get attacked for being a poser and a liar. Peaches could probably tell you the story if you ask, but she never believes it anyway. Immigrating from Russia is no big deal. Immigrating to a new land is no big deal. I am an immigrant kid myself. You will have to enlighten me on the pioneering new business. I blinked and missed that.
