From my experience, the adult web world works like this (to a certain extent):

1. Establish yourself on some sort of homeboard - (spend quite a lot of time actually)
2. Do something to get in a major piss with everyone on your home board and get yourself effectively expelled..
3. Disappear from your homeboard, maybe post on some other boards, bad mouth the homeboard regs perhaps.
4. Reappear on your homeboard
5. go back to number 1. (repeat ad nauseum)

I'm not shy with letting people know I don't like them - at least 2 have even tried to keep me from working in this biz - one quite recently ;)

As far as "giving me a job" - I've never once marketed myself as looking for a job in this biz, so what I say and don't say hasn't affected me. If I stopped working in the biz tomorrow I'd still like and dislike the same people :)
