Can I join this for a purely learning experience kind of thing? Or am I too late?

I think Sarettah was hoping to get a couple of people and he's still pulling the curriculum together, so you should still be in time Bhelliom :)

Dumb newbie question:

Will the TGP we will be making accept submisisons from other webmasters? I'm a little unclear on what it is we will be construction here.

I'm all for it, whatever it is! :)

I believe the original request was how to make a tgp with the idea of later accepting submissions. However, if we want to play with php and mysql, we could probably do a pretty elementary submission database type thing too... :)

Let me explain how this works, sarettah.

I ask a question, like "are we building a TGP that accepts submissions?"

You say either "yes" or "no." :)

Nothing that has "php" or "mysql" in it strikes me as "elementary."

Cool I'd love to learn a little more about all this stuff...

My experience in html.....

I surf the net really well...

To answer Sare's questions

How are you on html first of all ? Weak - Beginner

Do you handcode, generate, what ? Frontpage

Do you use styles at all ? And if so, inline or style sheets ? What?

Have you done any scripting ? no

If so, what ? Javascript, php, asp... ? nothing like that

Have done C++ though.... if that helps :P

Seriously though. I've done a course in college last year called "e commerce" this was essentially "build a (mainstream)site using frontpage" so that's all I really know. Although I do know a little more than that, It has been a really long time since I've actually built anything.

scripting I know nothing about. I'm learning xml a little now for my new job.

I've been in this Internet "business" since 1994, and I still don't have the first clue how all the TGP stuff really works. (I've always had others do it for me)

I'd even be interested in learning ;)

Um why not try something different that can actually make $$$

Maybe taking the text stories and wrapping a few pics around them and going for search engine listings

Of course as usual I'll rain on the parade and run away

Sounds all good to me, I'll have a try at just about anything :) Nothing beats learning something new. Apart from making a shitload of cash that is.
