I would like to go someday. But there are just so many other places I would like to go. I really want to go to Patagonia. Just don't know if I have the energy. I usually make spur of the minute decisions. Hell, I could be there this winter for all I know. My travel plans usually take all of two weeks, bottle to throttle.

No all information is good information. Tours are not something I have ever considered so it needs a little thought. I have never taken one. I usually book a flight, train or whatever, a couple of nights in a nice hotel, then rock on. I like the lonely planet a lot. It helps, but gets heavy to carry. The thorntree on the lonely planet site is a great current resource. There are a few things you should book ahead...like a nile cruise or you can be fucked. I learned the hard way. Almost wound up on the romantic faluka cruise drinking nile water. But it is something to consider. Thanks for that.

Yeah I know. Even as we speak I am making tons of decisions, writing copy and blah blah blah. When I travel, I try and spend longer periods of time in a few places. I used to be frenetic. Had to see everything. Now I am more selective and more relaxed. I plan ahead if I am going on a diving holiday, because that is a group thing. Small groups on boats in the middle of nowhere like PNG or Borneo. That makes it fun, paid for and all inclusive. The only worry is my bar bill which is usually immense. Hey compressed air makes you thirsty. Drinking perrier jouet at thirty feet is also fun. I usually rent cars and drive. I am thinking of gettin a gps to make that even more fun.

No, I am an adventure woos really. I have seen a lot more than most. I have lived behind barbed wire and am not in the mood for that in my dotage. But hey, your first clue should have been the insurance regs on rental cars in italy. I was going to fly into Marco Polo and rent a car and drive to Provence. My inlaws have a place there for us. But the charges were outrageous (mostly for theft). So instead I am flying into Marseilles and renting a car at half the price and I might drive to Venice.

Nahh, that niche is already pretty full. I was thinking of making a movie on how the Bush family has a tradition of one term presidents, but I figure I would have to wait until November to get started.

I was in Naples and there were needles in every gutter. My driver hired someone to sleep in the car because his engine had been stolen the last time he was there. He had driven us down from Rome and he said Naples was the worst. Great food, great people and good times. I have never seen so many hookers in my life....well maybe Milano at night around the 45 gallon drums burning wood.

Two conditions:

1. put the bail money in a safe place before the bottle is opened.
2. have a pillow ready by the toilet.

black and white pics,

phone sex,
etc, etc, etc....

it won't be over as an institution, but it WILL BE over for the most webmasters[/b][/quote]
Hey - I still do all of these things!!!

BradShaw 06-10-2004 03:32 PM

To some of us, this is more than a gig, or a joke. This is a business. Believe it not, there are people still around from the old days. A few of us are not one hit wonders who hang on.

Hard to walk away from a biz when the $ flows in, with minimal hours of work. Just a little brain power here and there.

I just wish I was like Gonzo though, and could give people shit, yet beg for work in this industry! Too bad I do not need a job from anyone.

Vick 06-10-2004 04:04 PM

You may be missing the points Brad

1st - on-line porn doesn't make the same $$$$ it did just a few years ago so to maintain the income level there is a need to diversify

2nd - do you want to do porn your entire life?
Do you get bored with it?
Do you desire new vistas to conquer?
It's time for new challenges and successes
Many of the old timers are stale as it's gotten old over 7+ years

3rd - I don't see any begging going on

4th - So you don't need a (blow) job? Guess you're asexual

BradShaw 06-11-2004 04:18 AM

I make more $ than ever. I travel the world and the $ flows in faster than my hair falls out. I just log on for a few hours a day. I should get an infomercial.

People should stop whining, and realize they are washed up and look offline. Wendy's is hiring.
