Well, there are a few obvious answers here:
1) As a producer, you can certainly offer your video to your consumers - many studios do exactly that by presenting their content via the customised theatre front. You are, of course, aware, that the theatre can be filtered down to very specific studios/ niches/ stars, et cetera, which allows you the freedom to pick and choose precisely which content you would like to have available.

2) With regard to ownership, you may not be aware that although PPM/ VOD is our most popular option for many viewers due to the fact that often variety is, indeed, the spice of life - we also offer download to own and burnable options for those who prefer to build a personal library of content. This allows your visitor and the eventual viewer the option to try before buying - because we've all been burned by paying for a film that wasn't worth it when we got it home - and leads to a higher level of end user satisfaction.

3) You are preaching to the choir with wanting "theater quality movies" - I've long wanted to see more production value in adult, but I'm sure the studios have their reasons for the method in whcih they produce content. As I am not a studio, I can't speak to those reasons, unfortunately.

No I wasn't aware of your filters, never got past your tos. So are you saying I can thus choose a specific movie, write a review on it, and that is the movie my readers will get when they click on that link to you?

Glad to hear you offer a download and burn option. Do you also offer a lable and jacket cover to make them look nice on the shelf?

Theater quality is what we are gearing tward, but our budget is not yet six or nine digit. I've become use to two digit, down from my old FE-2 then DC-50, to CX series cheapies. These guys just dumped four digits in equipment alone, now I have toys to play with again that I was begining to believe were to be only pipe dreems. And we are putting together a couple of scripts, just something to to get a little mud under our feet, but at least something better than wam bam thank you mam. Hard or soft will depend on the outcome their meating with a 2257 loyer. They prefer hard, but we will see.

a) What about the TOS, specifically, do you object to?

b) Of course you can hardlink to a specific movie inside the theatre, please see Snowman's response below yours for an example. We have a number of webmasters who work in this way.

c) All box covers are available on the site.

Everybody's right.

There is and will be a market for both DVD/VHS and VOD, they are not in contradiction with each other, and it will probably last for a good long time yet.

Oh my god, TV is going to kill the movie theaters
Oh my god, Cable is going to kill the movie theaters
Oh my god, VCRs are going to kill the movie theaters
Oh my god, DVDs are going to kill the movie theaters

The only references I could find stated something about Harry Potter opening in 3682 theaters in the U.S. and that that represented approx 20% of all US theaters which would put the current number of theaters in the U.S. at approx 18400, yeah, really looks dead to me, ya know.

But here is the deal. Hollywood has had to drastically improve the quality of their films. So the free market took care of that little problem and we, the consumer, benefit. A lesson to be learned, there.

Ah, but it didn't. It may have helped continue the demise of AM radio (although it is still breathing) but FM radio is still strong and healthy and Satellite radio appears to be making good progress.

As long as personal transportation exists and the control of it is in an individual's hands there will be a strong radio market :okthumb:

Hence, then entire point sarreth was making.....

irony

noun
1. witty language used to convey insults or scorn; "he used sarcasm to upset his opponent"; "irony is wasted on the stupid"; "Satire is a sort of glass, wherein beholders do generally discover everybody's face but their own"--Jonathan Swift [syn: sarcasm]
2. incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs; "the irony of Ireland's copying the nation she most hated"
3. a trope that involves incongruity between what is expected and what occurs

irony1 [ˈaiərəni] noun — plural ˈironies

a form of deliberate mockery in which one says the opposite of what is obviously true

open mouth radio is alive and well on the am band. I drove across America from Washington to Michigan and redneck radio is strong as ever.
