I agree with Rhetorical too, considering we're talking about an existing pay site. Kind of silly to worry about traffic to a paysite that doesn't have good content already.

I was going to partner a girlgirl site with another girl. And then she went psycho before Gonzo and I got a model release from her. That was over a year ago.

You think my content is not good? Well, My site as it is converts fine for me with the traffic I have. I'm just running out of traffic sources for my own traffic now and I have already topped almost all the toplists I qualify for. That boy/girl scene opened up alot more sites for me to link up to.

I can always use more high heel or boot content. :D

I have 2 sets with thigh high boots. One black pair and one white pair. I have a pair of red ones also I havent shot in yet but I will. Alot of my sets I am wearing stileto heel shoes.

I didn't say your content wasn't good. I was commenting on the order you had you listed the priorities in, which some newbie might read. You listed find traffic first and get content second.

You are so right...

Giving newbies good advice is a terrible idea, lol. Thankyou for correcting me.

ummm.... so you're saying that telling a newbie to concentrate on getting traffic first and then getting content second is good advice?

What good does traffic do without good content?

Its the old content vs traffic go-round. If you have both, then you win. But no content, no traffic. This is not a chicken or egg situation. I also believe that spinning your wheels for traffic is not a good strategy. Its like starting from scratch over and over and over again. The porn version of groundhog day.

Im glad you brought this up.
I can point to 2 sites in the last year that started out with ZERO content that have a large surfer base without being a year old.

It can be done. It has been done. TWICE!

OK, point to them. I would actually like to see this and how it is done.

Its no secret

xpeeps and pornotube

Pornotube is probably the fastest growing adult site in many years and with ZERO paid advertising too.

And neither of those sites is a pay site and that's what we're talking about in this thread. Of course it's possible to make money with sites that have no content, but I'm pretty sure the discussion in this thread is member sites.

There's nothing wrong with a newbie learning how to get traffic and using sponsor sites to make money, but if they are starting a pay site, it would make zero sense to think about generating traffic before the members area had content in it.

Thats not entirely true.
If your researching your competition or nichewide you can get an idea of how that traffic would preform before building out a site.

Typically though I dont know many people that have that level of planning or patience.

It seems to me there is a huge difference between doing research and marketing. This is not developing traffic with no content.
Xpeeps and pornotube are marketing a service (ie:content). So they have something to pitch. If you make money by selling "nothing" (ie:no content) then it's a scam.
This is comparing apples and oranges. I still stand by my original statement. If you don't have content (product), you can't gain traffic. This is all based on the premise that the whole deal is legit.
