Re: Masterpiece Magazine looking for Venture capital

Sin,
I appreciate your indept analysis of my post, but you only picked the negative points about my professionalism and my magazine. You get your picture in my magazine for a small fee. That's a choice the customer would have to make. There are millions of diff. people throughout the world., not just Sin. Your post shows me that you took your time to really pick out all of my comments towards others. And your wrong, unless you are interested in being partners with masterpiece magazine, and by that I mean email me personally to get my full business plan, then I don't have to amuse you with an explanation of my business. Again, I really do appreciate your comments , but lets focus on my business idea. I know there are people out their that try to make an ass out of people. Please, lets not be one of those people. Again If you do not like my idea, then don't worry about it.
Thanks
Saintjaq

I wish you some success but currently your presentation is lacking

Psss what about women get in the mag for free and men have to pay
(your male to female applicants may be unequal to start)

How are you going to get apps to start (let's say you'll need 25-50 total apps to start)?

Who is selling your advertising, what type of advertisers will take space in your publication (think you're going to generate enough revenue from just apps and newsstand sales)?

You've got an idea and a lot of moxie .....

Masterpiece Magazine is that physical evidence. You would love to tell your buddies I was in a magazine, because thats not common in the world. Sure you can put your photos on the internet, but hell you would get lost in the millions of other photos on the internet. Then it really wouldn't mean shit. You would break out of the box with masterpiece magazine. Then, your buddies would envy you because you were in a magazine and now they want to be in a magazine. So you tell them, CALL ME and get ya credit cards ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Id rather tell my friends I hang out with Jenna Jamison and Janine and have the pictures to prove it.

come on people.. he has a business management degree from a 2 year school... didnt you know, that guarantees success and means your qualified to solicit 7 figure sums to run a business you have no experience in!!!!

and lets not forget once a very highly skilled adult webmaster ran a pretty large magazine and closed it down because it wasn't profitable. he only cited reasons that deal with the underlying business model as the reason, but thats no reason to be jealous of the idea and pursue it on your own!!!

I quoted your entire posts, if negative points are all I picked, then negative is all you've shown. It says a lot about your degree of professionalism & if you don't like it, ...well, only you can change it. :) By the way, your levels of grammar & spelling leave a great deal to be desired as well, for someone who is claiming he is a professional.

Yes, I pay you to get my picture in your magazine, what for? What benefit do *I* reap from it? The mere prestige of publicly posting private images? Of being able to tell my friends "Hey I'm in a magazine?" ...in the end, it amounts to little IMO especially since its a magazine entirely of individually submitted pictures, it would hardly make my presence in the magazine special, removing supposed prestige. Again, the comparison to Auto Trader is a poor one, the benefit that the Auto Trader submitted pictures reap, is they get their car sold.

My problem with this part of your last post is that yes I did take the time to really pick out all of your posts. I always feel it is best to cover all the bases, especially when the further posts merely further helped me prove the points I was making.

As far as you "having to amuse me with an explanation of your business" ...well, I'd say given that you came on here & your first post was a request for investment in the amount of $800,000-2.5 Million, then yes, you better be prepared to give an explanation of your business to people. Nobody has tried to make an ass out of you on this board, you are the one who has jumped to that conclusion on your own when faced with questions & people who didn't like the concept. Someone not liking your idea is not them trying to make an ass of you, and neither is someone asking questions about your plan to further their own understanding of it. You returning said statements & queries with defensive tactics however, IS making an ass of you.

Sin,
How about your return tactics? If mine is making an ass out of me, then what is yours? How about we are making an ass out of ourselves. You are very contradicting in what you post. Im an ass for what I post, but you're not.

so... i have read everything in its entirety and can
summarize this "investment opportunity" and
saintjaq with a simple image.

but it has given me a great idea. I am off to GFY to
ask for $5,000,000,000.00 for my Colonize the Moon by
2008 project! It will put my 13 days of owning an ant
farm when i was 6 to good use. Wish me luck!

You came on here, asking for 2.5 million dollars. That on its own is pretty outrageous for a start. You then got defensive towards comments & people who disagreed with your IDEA. God forbid anybody should have an opinion that doesn't coincide with yours, is the impression YOU gave.

So you don't agree with my opinion. That's fine, and even predictable, given how you've responded to others whose opinion has not matched your own.

Truthfully, however, no I am not an ass for what I post. You are new to this board, and those who are here are likely also aware that I have a MUCH greater capability to be an ass towards you. I'm being polite towards you, yes I am pointing out the error of your ways, its so you can fix them. Marketing is a key part of business at all levels, not just a part of promotion of the end result. So far you're not doing the best job of marketing yourself for what you're trying to accomplish. You still have not answered any of my questions, by the way, and do not come back with the retort that "The answers will all lay in the business plan & you can email me at ________ to get a copy" because frankly if you can't answer the last question I asked, then you've really got a LOT of work yet to do on this plan and are not yet to the stage where you need to be asking for 2.5 million dollars.

Let me repeat it real quick.

That is not the question of an investor, that is the question of a ..."customer" (someone who would be paying to submit their images). It can be answered by you without a business plan. ;)

By the way, don't take such offense to me probing you to think. Thinking is good.

Was referring to the other head, dear, but if their jaw is getting sore you're either HUGE or they're doing something terribly wrong & need to simply relax. :)
