Anthony, you definately make a good point about Rick. He has never been Mr. Personality....

There is no doubt he could use a good marketing person.... Is Aly the person for the job? Time will tell.

Sometime being overexposed, and too well known can work against a project. I would have recomended for Rick to look OUTSIDE the industry.

I bumped into Aly in the elevator in Miami. Extraordinarily nice, considering I was hating on the whole $300 mandatory pass thing which actually turned out surprisingly well. TheBestPorn also has some great traffic, will be interesting to see what they can accomplish together.

You guys are severely underestimating what being "nice" can bring to the table in terms of traffic and what being an asshole can take away. I daresay there are some people who send to programs because they can get what they want when they want it and don't send the same traffic due to the personalities of program owners and reps.

Gee Michael, you should know this better than most as there is at least one program owner I know Purecash (and WEG) refused to send traffic to due to the program owner's antics.

But what do I know, I'm just a D rated personality ;)

The only thing Nick and Mike know about me is the fact that I've been around a while. We've never had much to do with eachother. So as much as I do of course, have a certain amount of respect for their brilliance in business, I'm really not too worried about what their unnecessarily embittered perception of me might be. Cool down, boys, I don't have any strikes against me yet... I've left 2 companies since 1998 and the only argument that could possibly be made against me in those cases might be that I didn't leave them soon enough!

My career may or may not be 'hot air', and yes, time will of course tell... LOL.. But in that time I'll always have the heart-warming knowledge that I'm never likely to blindly and rudely trash someone's credibility for no apparent reason. And to me that's worth a lot more than the value of both of your assets combined! :okthumb:

Your credibility went away by working for one of the most corrupt companies in the industry, then becoming an apologist for avn.

I am sure you are a kind person, who loves little animals, blah blah blah.... but the only capital you poses is the ability to misinform and mislead people about the companies you shilled for.

So see, there is an apparent reason.... Go back to day one, I have been slamming your former bosses for years. Ask Dave. I consider him a nice guy as well, but his business ethics...

While I dont know much (nor do I care) about the shit Aly's been defending or
is going to be promoting, I still have to comment on what you say Mike. You know very well that "even" you only have as much "ethics" as you feel you're able to afford. If you felt you needed the $9 million a month that Claria/Gator is pulling in, then sure as hell you'd touch the adware game as well (if you had thought of it first that is....)

The only difference is you tend to claim you have ethics in specific areas even where you dont, where-as others just dont care to claim they have ethics where they clearly dont.

And yeah, I may be taking a shot at you even though you (might not) know much about who I am. (even though I was at one of your first Orlando
parties, and have been reading ynot/netpond/ynottoppond/oprano since 1996).

Which explains why Rick would have need of a marketing person. So far the worst I have read about Aly is that some people don't like her former employers. Name one top 20 company in any industry that doesn't have people who don't like them.

Seems like a very good combo to me. A "silent achiever" and a respected marketing person.

Alys great i think she did a great job at internext in fla, was one of the better shows ive attened for along time.

Python ROCK, awesome bunch of guys, I always enjoy seeing them at the shows.

If i had a paysite program and I wasnt all over Aly like a rash i would have rocks in my head...this is a great opportunity for sponsor programs and the longer it takes u the more you will kick yourself later on
