Thats my next purchase, for my backup weapon.

I went to the store, and bought it. Florida is great that way. :)

I also got, nice ammo for it. :)

As for it being secondary... At 2200 fps, and 20 rounds, this gun would be primary for me if I didn't carry my Ed Brown .45

Anthony...let's say a female with hands that are not very strong wanted to shoot paper targets, the kind that look like the "bull's eye" dart targets - NOT people shaped targets - and asked you to recommend a gun that would be light enough for her to hold and aim and wouldn't have a kick that would knock her down.

I have an intense fear of guns and I figure that the best way to get rid of that is by familiarity.

Also, if I ever get back to working on the several novels I have going, will you be my "gun expert," please. I need one of those. So far, I've got everyone carrying a Sig Sauer because it's fun to say. :)

Re: What watch do you wear daily?

I hate watches and bracelets they drive me crazy.

And I have really tiny wrists so I always have to get links taken out before I can wear them or they slip all around.

And I hate people always asking me what time it is. LOL.

Funny enough, the Sig Sauer .22's are very light and easily manageble guns for target shooting.

My sister fires the large gun, 3rd row, on the right. It's a Baretta NEOS 22. She's very small and she loves it. Of course now, she's called the FN as hers, but that is exspensive to shoot.

Cool, thank you. I have no idea *why* I want to target shoot, but for some reason, I do. I guess it's the "conquer the fear" thing that truly appeals to me. Also, the books I write tend to involve someone shooting someone else, and you can't write that sort of thing accurately unless you've actually fired something.

I don't even own a watch. If I wore one, people might expect me to be on time.

That is the risk you take. :)

One of the sweetest stories I ever heard was of the "mentally challenged" (I hate that phrase, but it seems to have fallen into general usage) young man who wore a broken watch. When asked why, he said "because I don't know how to tell time, so I tell people my watch is broken and ask them what time it is."

"Mentally challenged," but definitely *not* stupid. :) :okthumb:

Does anybody really know what time it is
Does anybody really care
If so I can’t imagine why
We’ve all got time enough to die

i've got really long arms and skinny little bitch wrists, so most every watch looks like the bottom of a coke can on my wrist. i've got a little kenneth cole one i wear with long sleves at clubs just to have a little "silver" catching some light.

when/if i make enough to be buying rolexes, i'll have to have some extra set aside for forearm and wrist implants.

If I -were- to pay attention to men wearing watches however, I'd DEFINITELY be checking out the hunks who had the style & class & appreciation of a fine timepiece such as a pocketwatch... especially if it was an older one ;) (the pocketwatch that is, not the guy necessarily)

Department issues us Glock 22. We can carry a backup of whatever we can qualify with though.
As for buying the FN, its restricted to LEO and Military, which is why I asked.

My everyday watch? A basic stainless-steel Rolex Explorer II that needs winding every day! For diving, for flying, and for sailing, I have others for those purposes.

Re: What watch do you wear daily?

A watch very few people in the world own

A Gold Seiko CSX retirement watch

My aunt gave me my uncle's retirement watch when he passed away last year
He worked for the railroads (C&O B&O, Chessie systems and CSX - all basically the same company through different changes) his entire life
Ending up as a senior vice-president, he was a railroad man and a damn good one

and I'm very honored to wear that watch every day

(except when I perform and then I wear a .... um special watch)

I have discovered a basic prinicple in life - the more expensive the watch, the more frequently I will bang it on something. I have no doubt that if I ever walked out of the door with a Rolex on, I'd be hit by a steamroller wtihin 20 minutes.

I have a couple of Fossil watches that tell perfect time.

I have a Breitling Bentley edition that I wear on special occasions, but lately i've been wearing my Red Invicta. The Invicta only cost me $180 and you would be AMAZED at how many compliments I get on it.

I bought it here: http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2....prod_id=603865

Its a great casual watch.

Nothing to do with the times at all my friend. I called the place where I order my guns from and they told me I would need a letterhead from my department.
Maybe thats just an oklahoma law, but furthermore, state law cannot supercede fed law.

Federal Law/Ban was lifted, where have you been?

I'm going Boar hunting this Saturday, and we're both carrying our FN's just for the little critters we bring down.

I'm hoping an AK47 is enough to stop one fo those piggys. :)

Btw, that watch is on backorder. :( Wont be in till November, and I was really hoping to have it for the hunt this weekend.
