The boards have always been a great place for me to learn who not to do business with more than anything else. If I want to know more about someone I either get them on ICQ or on the phone. And then I try to meet them in person at shows (I typically go to up to 8 a year).

I agree with many of you I think the excuse of "Thats just my board persona" is total and utter bullshit. With me what you see on here is pretty much what you get in person. That being said though.... you have to keep in mind that for the past couple of years my responsibility has been to generate interest/pageviews on Oprano.

That being said I had a chance to spend some time with LAJ last year at Cybernet Expo and after meeting face to face we realized that we agreed on a lot of things instead of us both thinking the other was a complete asshole.

My point is that You can get a damn good business sense about some people [as witnessed yesterday] from the boards but the shows have a way of putting things in concrete. [/b][/quote]
