Let's just say that I have it in writing, from 3 different sources, that IBill was the direct source of this rumor.

Once from a former employee, once from a former client, and once from a non-client.

All three of these people received telephone calls from people that either work at IBill right or have had a sufficient stake in things there at one point or another to qualify as coming straight out of Deerfield Beach.

It's no big secret that for the last couple of years there has been no love lost between IBill and Paycom. The extent of the "feud" goes far beyond what most people would imagine, much less believe.

These things are fact. If someone at IBill would like to send me a certified notice of a problem with what I have said, drop me an email and I'll give you an address for service. Just remember that I have no problem backing up my comments since they are in writing. I'm sure the adult community would enjoy the ensuing circus.

Interesting post Kimmy...very interesting...so you are saying categorically..

HIDDEN AGENDA!

for me , then , if this question is answered , I'm totally satisfied ,

Rand,

Are you aware of any events that may have happened with regard to Epoch/Paycom that may in any way adversely effect webmasters?

rand 02-18-2005 02:37 PM

OK. Now we know where Deep Throat lives (thank you Kimmy Kim). Let's attach a name or names to that message and send out the firing squad.

FOR THE RECORD:

1) Epoch has not lost its merchant account.
2) Epoch has not received a notice from its banks or anyone else including Visa that anything is changing.
3) Everything in terms of Epoch's operations is status quo.
4) There are no fines, fees, notices, etc.... NONE!

Now somebody please go find the liar who is spreading these rumors and shove his head down his throat?

And Nick, please see your email.

At this point I wouldn't call it hidden even. I'm sorry that IBill got themselves into the spot they are in. I have always been supportive of ANY billing company that was legitimately running transactions since I think that the more billers there are, the more safe we are as an industry.

Of course there is also karma, and when I mention that this feud got out of hand on occasion, I guess what comes around goes around.

I'll give CCBill kudos here, the marketing plan has never involved dissing the competition, but providing a product and service and minding their own business.

I just got the Oprano "newsletter" where this thread was featured on top.

**

"LATE BREAKING NEWS:

Trouble ahead? Is Epoch losing their merchant account?
http://www.oprano.com/msgboard/index...howtopic=16724

Oprano Newsletter
Volume 4 February 17, 2005"

**

I am cancelling the newsletter until more serious editorials are sent out.

PS. STUPID

Yes, I got that too...and being the snappy little journalist that I am, I scampered right over to see what the news was.

Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be insurgents!

seems people are a little edgy on this topic, eh?

Winetalk.com 02-18-2005 02:38 PM

OK, WT is up, so now I can talk about Epoch

Rand, if I were you, I'd subpoeana the Oprano records and persue the mofo who is spreading false rumors about your company.

KK, I know....Bush is going to Europe and he is taking subpoeana on WT's behalf to depose French winemakers who blame us for their troubles.

*KK* 02-18-2005 02:44 PM

Those damn Frenchmen ;)

Hidden (and not so hidden) agendas in this industry! .... Astounding. Not.

Does make for good theater, though. And good theater sales too apparently: "22 User(s) are reading this topic"

Well your word is certainly good enough for me , Rand.

This matter as far as I'm concerned is now closed.

We are not responsible for content but in this day and age , with the problems concerning Ibill any suggestion of something like this needs to be brought to the attention of webmasters and brought out to the front so it can be quashed as ably as Epoch/Paycom/Rand have done so.

Hence why we notified our members of this matter.

We shall now send a mail to our members stating that this rumour is unfounded and was nipped in the bud by Rand.

for me it ends now...

Oprano is about business.

And in this case a scurilous rumour was brought out into the open and dealt with.

That is IMHO the only way to deal with such matters.

You heard it here :

There are no problems at Epoch

This matter and the thread , is now closed.
