Too early to call for me on all of this year's shows.
I'll go to any show in vegas, but beyond that I get bored sitting in the center bar just talking after a few hours. I need stimulation. |

My money is on Joe! |
Phoenix & San Diego are my personal fave shows so we'll definitely be there.
What's this about a Vancouver show? :awinky: |

I would remind you, but what happens in Tijuana stays in Tijuana ;-) I'll be making the Pheonix show and the San Diego show, beyond that not sure I don't feel like Florida in August though |

So far I believe I will be attending the Cancun, Phoenix, San Diego and FL shows. September is also time for Bob to take us all to Mexico. That was a fun trip and I would definitely do it again:)

Growing up in San Diego I can tell you some great places to get some REAL Mexican food... not that fluffed up toursity crap. We always take a few people and make a side trip to a couple of local hole in the wall joints.... that's the best place to find those burritos the size of taxi cabs.
Gonzo - we'll have to grab you a Carne Asada while we're down there. I know you'll love it! We never miss it when we go down to visit the relatives. :bdance: |

Definitely! That would be cool! B) It was great to finally meet you in Vegas BTW. :rokk: |

carne asadas are good, but nothing beats puerco al pastor (shredded pork tacos with red onions in the tiny soft corn tortillas) there's a dirty little place out in North Las Vegas that has them for 79 cents...true heaven... |

You're very right Sykk - I think a B rating is at least the minimum requirement. I didn't get that when we first moved to San Diego but I do now. lol Those little ratty places are the best.... never tried the puerco al pastor (or heard of it for that matter) - they usually just call the pork tacos in SoCal carnitas and I never really got into those. My fave is still the rolled tacos with sour cream, guacamole and a shit-load of super hot made-fresh today hot sauce! Yum! You'll have to tell us about that place next time we hit Vegas - would love to have Burtros try it out. He's always looking for the ultimate Mexican restaurant everywhere we go.... sadly, Palm Springs area has no clue on how to make carne asada or anything authentic. They all want to stick rice/beans in it - yuck! Can't wait to get back down to SD for some real Mexican food! :yowsa: |
Count me in for the eating Mexican food road trip! We'll take Gabe with us and use him as a tester :P

we'll need a group because the neighborhood is a bit rough...but maybe we can have some entertainment mixed in with the dining and there will be a gang shooting while we're stuffing tacos in our mouths... Kath, I agree, B rating = quality Mexican food ;-) yeah, some places here call them carnitas as well...basically the same thing except the red onions, carnitas usually don't have ponions or they use a small amount of white onions The Pink Taco in the Hard Rock calls them pick tacos and they pickle the onions.... |

It was great to finally meet you in Vegas BTW. :rokk:
How do I start getting Klixxx? ( and the pleasure was all mine for sure... hey btw are you the same Kathy fro m national net too? |
Quote:
Nope - Gonzo introduced us I think on the first day of the show.... Kathi is an awesome person (and someone I wouldn't mind being confused with - she's amazing), but I was the "gimpy" one with the bum knee. :( To start getting Klixxx just email me your name/address and I'll make sure to get you hooked up with a VIP subscription. kath /at/ klixxx -dot- com. :rokk: |

No worries - like I said, there's some people I wouldn't want to be confused with (like another Kath that came on the boards a few years ago - *shudder*) but Kathi's cool. Looking forward to saying hello again in Phoenix/SD - congrats again on your new appointment @ Oprano. Kewl move by Nick & Gonzo! :okthumb: |
Doing something new this year so going to shows will get to be new all over again.
Cancun Phoenix Montreal San Diego Miami the next YP in Mexico hopefully Vancouver if someone throws a show together this year Colin, watch out if someone offers you tea in Negril, it tastes funny. |
I'll most likely be in Florida, but I think that's it for me :D

20% going to Phoenix (know if a few weeks one way or the other).
100% doing AOE in Prague in April definately. 180% in Florida in August. 245% back in Vegas next January. 310% doing GLIB in Sydney in March 2006. Oh and now CJ is moving along to the bogsmoke I would imagine the chance of another Aussie Webmasters Gathering mid-year are about 1 million percent. |

Love to meet up with all the Aussies , either again or for the first time. Aussies I want to meet for the first time is a long list.. yourself opti Baldbastard nickdark The General fucking goes on and on...errr like me. Plus really check out the country. :) I also wanna check out NZ . to answer for myself something I've always wondered...... Are they all as potty mouthed as meat? ;-)) |
Quote:
Be good to meet you as well my friend. Meat (being typical of his countrymen in language & demeanour) was actually talking about being Downunder in march sometime and I was thinking of maybe arranging something for around then. Opti and Baldy would be certainties, and I am sure Nick would be there as well, because I would imagine CJ will be central to it now she is going to be in the Olympic city.... Dean would unlikely come down, but at $150 return you should check out Queensland as well anyway, and hooking him for a breakfast should be no drama. I am organizing GLIB for March 2006 (NEXT year), but more on that later. Just hit me up, or better still, talk to CJ. We can make it happen. |
Okay heres a 'hypothetical' question for any of you who may have programs...
If we were to hold a GWB event at this year Cybernet Expo, would any of you be interested in a cost effective sponsorship option? We're looking at a corporate sponsorship level for the event presently and wanted to know how much interest there would be in holding the first gay market event during this years Cybernet. As with all the GWB events, the sponsorship would be used to off-set the cost of the event and any funds not used would be refunded to the sponsor on a pro-rata basis :) |

If I was going, I'd send you the check now. |
