Buff, Serge rode on tour buses through out Latin America. He knows what he is talking about! You were merely a yankee imperilist gringo causing trouble for nice guys like the sandinistas....

I think Buff took more showers....

Well the only way I travel to Latin America is in 5 star resorts, so unless there are local fanning me with palm fans, or spritzing me with bottle water I have no interest!

why?
Because like ALL citizens of the great Empires of the past,
Mike believes, that him living in siuperpower makes him exempt from studying other cultures,
something is VERY charecteristic to the last days of the all previous empires.

Serge, you are making assumptions....

My keen insight into other cultures and their indiosycricities has allowed our friendship and partnership to thrive.

I know its tough for you to understand, but the US is not a traditional empire at all - especially in context to past historical examples. If we were, we would be debating these issues while sitting on a beach on the 51st State of Cuba.

Yeah, I pine for the Raj when we could travel in style with steamer trunks and servants, drink pink gin all day, get laid by any and all of the locals, get gout, lead a gentleman's life and die a gentleman's death. WTF happened? I gues democracy and freedom kicked the shit out of the good times.

wrong,
Buff's answer is more correct because:
"Socrates, whom we only know about from later sources (especially Plato) and not from his own writings, claimed to know nothing himself."

I think our tastes in food and wine are pretty much aligned though.... so at least
