What the hell is happening to my damned country?! These people are outta control.

The Democratic Republic of Dark Logic is a small, economically powerful nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 8 million are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

The minute government, or what there is of one, juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Law & Order, and Education. Income tax is unheard of. A robust private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Book Publishing and Arms Manufacturing.

Nudity is frowned upon, education and welfare spending are on the rise, punitive tariffs protect local industry, and bicyclists are banned from major roads. Crime is a problem. Dark Logic's national animal is the cobra, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the powerand.

Dark Logic is ranked 5169th in the region and 63,703rd in the world for Largest Agricultural Sector.

Almighty Colin 02-13-2004 01:41 PM

Haha...

The Free Land of OldJeff is a small, economically powerful nation, renowned for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 7 million live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

The tiny government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. Income tax is unheard of. A substantial private sector is led by the Woodchip Exports industry, followed by Information Technology and Soda Sales.

Voting is voluntary, the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit, and the tenet of free speech is held dear. Crime is a problem. OldJeff's national animal is the sloth, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the drachma.

OldJeff is ranked 5854th in the region and 69,233rd in the world for Largest Agricultural Sector.

The Republic of Mythos Arcadia
"An armed society is a polite society"

UN Category: Corporate Bordello
Civil Rights: Excellent
Economy: Thriving
Political Freedoms: Superb

Location: the South Pacific
The Republic of Mythos Arcadia is a tiny, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The small, corrupt, pro-business government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Commerce receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 2%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Soda Sales, Cheese Exports, and Beef-Based Agriculture industries.

Crime is a major problem. Mythos Arcadia's national animal is the raven and its currency is the dollar.

We'll be taking a stand on voluntary voting this evening.
