Yeah I do not think Hooper would be held responsible. Infact none of the sponsors should be worried about it, they hired a company that handles shoots, and were responsible for their actions. If the sponsors themselves hired the talent, and orginized the shoots then they would be responsible for it.

I'm not saying for ONE MINUTE that condoms/tests didn't need to be used as I believe they should have been, but the performers were adults who were responsible for themselves. Last edited by Peaches at Aug 5 2003, 04:49 PM |
damn, where was I ?

If I brake my leg at the party because a bar stool was laying on the floor, the Radison AND the party sponsors can be held accountable. Same concept.
Hoop...calm down, no need for name calling, just trying to give you some advice to watch what you say in your position. Whether you feel your stance is right or not, there is a potential for this thing getting ugly. If it does, as a co-sponsor, you're not going to want your text brought into play. I ain't mad at anyone over this, I'm just reporting the things I've seen and heard. Don't shoot the messenger. W  |

I don't think Hooper should be responsible either. His part of the party: keeping things going and people entertained was a huge success from everything I've heard. The part that was mishandled, strictly IMHO, was the way the talent was handled. |

Can you do me a favor and make your avitar a little bit smaller? Thanks. |

Well, if I open a business and hire people to work for me, by law, I have to ensure their safety. I can't make them work in a hazardous situation. I realize this business isn't like "real" businesses in that most people are independent contractors or just temp talent, but I don't think it's a bad thing to provide a safe work environment. In this business, providing a safe working environment SHOULD include looking out for the welfare of talent and that is done through providing up to date tests. While those who wished to bow out did, what about those too shy to ask or those who didn't think to ask for a test or those who felt too intimidated to ask? It's no secret that some of the models in this industry have a low self opinion of themselves and just do as they are told. While I'm all for freedom of choice and responsibility for one's own actions, I don't see any harm in providing a safe working environment. Fuck, now I'm sounding like one of those union boys ;-))) |
This thread is h-o-t. HOT! Should be interesting to follow

I caught about 4 of the shoots. Was sitting right up near the front so i got a good look. All of the males wore condoms but they did get oral bareback.
Never saw any bareback screwing going on. |
Consent and free will are wonderful things, when someone is full informed.
I'm thinking about the girls who were already *in* the 'pit' though. When another guy appears with dick at the ready, how are they to know whether he's talent or a drunk webmaster? They have to assume he's talent, because there has to be a level of trust between themselves and the organizer that non-talent would *not* be allowed into the pit. So if the 'random guys jumping into the fray' is true, then the "free will" defense isn't going to cut it. The girls already in the pit were NOT fully informed and therefore did not give their consent. They were under the impression they were performing with other talent, and *that* is what they consented to... not to working with 'random guys' who were permitted to cross the ropes. |
